Hi thank you for your nice videos but I'm asking is there a way to determine the real aircraft altitude just from the cabin altitude or cabin differential pressure thank you
The cabin pressure must remain below 10000 feet and respect a limitation of differential pressure. However this limitation can change depending on the aircraft type
I wonder how they maintain cabin altitudes of 4100 ft in jets like the Gulfstream G650ER which has a ceiling of 51000 ft. That's a LOT of pressure difference...
Good information. I remember many years ago I took a hiking altimeter on a flight and watched the altitude change as we climbed out from takeoff. The altitude starter to increase until it reached 8000 feet, and then it stayed at 8000 feet all the way up to cruising altitude. It was very interesting to actually see it level off, even though we were still climbing.
very good explanation, thanks a lot!
You are very welcome!

thanks capt,my question is the cabin pressure part of the packs?
You are very welcome! The packs are essential for air conditioning and pressurisation..
From what i know, cabin pressure must be maximum 8000ft, correct?

Good one Captain
Diff press = cabin press - atmospheric pressure?
Thanks for watching! You can see it also like that!
What if u explained about cabin alt. setting
Hey, I take your suggestion into consideration for a future content

Yes, but it depends on the Aircraft structure... The lower the cabin altitude the better the confort for its occupants...

Great Point! Thanks for watching!
Thank you!
