I recommend you to check out a channel called club crochet, especially the whale tutorial. He makes his videos for a complete beginner and he's very detailed at explaining

I really like your work. Might I suggest that when you make tutorials that you don't use fluffy yarn? It makes it a little difficult to follow along. I had to restart it a few times because I was having difficulties trying to copy your pattern. I love the fluffy yarn very much and you can show an example of the different looks towards the end. ^w^'
As someone who has used both, outcome and the way you crochet is affected by what yarn you use. So for a plush like this, it's best

Thanks for posting, I noticed that you use a 6 mm hook, but sweet snuggles recommends 11 mm . How do you decide which size hook to use?
I just used the 6 mm hook recommended in the video, my duck still turned out fine. I think you'd use the 11 mm for actual blanket stuff which can be loose or have gaps whereas for this project you'd need stitches more closer together (ie. the 6 mm instead). happy crochetting

Someone please help! I’m a beginner just learning how to read patterns and the (_,_) are confusing me because the video goes by too fast 😅 can someone please explain it to me? (Example for head: R3: sc, inc (sc 2, inc) x5, sc) what does this mean? Which one am I meant to follow? Please help 🥲 Edit: I figured it out 😈
The brackets are stiches you do in the same stitch x
(Sc 2 in ) x 5 is two sc in the same stitch to increase and do that 5 times. Hope that helps x

On the R1 Magic ring 12 I am struggling to close the circle, any advice? I have tried starting it as loose as possible and it doesn’t seem to be working.
I also struggled with that! To fix it, I just placed 2 sc in the magic ring then tightened it just a little bit. I did that a bit after every stitch and it closed fine in the end! Hope this helps.
