I forgot to mention a few things somehow as well. This is a good method to have setup if your heater core leaks out and you can't change it immediately. You can bypass the heater core completely by simply connecting the 2 hoses into each other before going to the core. Hope this helps!
Thanks for the tips! I cut my lines as well, flushed it and my 2000 Yukon pushes out crazy heat now. When I started the heat before it blew out ice cold air. I love the idea of using the 5/8 connectors. Definitely made it so much better Thanks for the video 💪
I back flushed my front...new thermostat..good heat,no rear heat. Now year or so later...no front heat or rear. New blend door as it was missing "used truck" i did it manualy from hot to cold. I figure if the rear is nasty it will mess up the front core . So better flush up front and this method on rear. Swore both hoses were warm in rear but its been a while. Thx for posting this. Youtibe videos have saved me so many thousand over the years.
Awesome work-around. Dealing with this now and the hoses are fine but just getting them off the core inlet and outlet so too difficult for the effort. This makes it easy. Maybe I’ll get a couple years too. Thank you!
Multi-stage/zone heating systems are not easy to fully bleed air from; getting 106F air there at the back is a good indication that you’ve accomplished a proper cooling system fill/bleed.
My truck has the same set up at the firewall. you can unclamp the two hoses from the front lines like you did in the back. Same size adapters still would be easy to do
Yes my apologies, I was just using my phone and I'm not a very loud person. I didn't really plan on even making this video. I will definitely talk louder in the next one 🙏
So you butchered up the lines cuz you're too cheap to have it professionally done this is the reason why used vehicles are so f***** up highest purchase 2 used vehicles in the crack that has been done to both of those vehicles I have replaced so much stuff what you guys fit failed to realize when you modify these vehicles if you're not upgrading and you're just sticking stuff in it your shortening the time that you can use that vehicle on the road meaning if you're going on a long trip you're bound to have a problem putting those two nipples in there for more links to have a leak if you're out on the road in the summertime the lines are getting hot it's hot outside you stand a chance of them popping or springing a leak now you on the side of the road what is so hard how about spending a couple hundred bucks that have it done correctly or hundred dollars trust me I'm not trying to be funny already got to get on you I'm saying you making this a problem for yourself

Awesome. Simple and elegant. Thank you! Thank you also for showing the rear…very little about the rear on RUclips!
Did it this way and it was a success, very efficient.
I'm glad to hear it helped!

Great video. About to flush the front core of my 2000 suburban.

Yukon 👍💪.. I have a 92 gmc Yukon 2 door 👍💪
I know I’m late for the party but I wanted to note:The adapter you mentioned,Will NOT flow as much as it did before! Just wanted to inform you!
Ya there's really not much crazy flow up there but ya it will restrict it a little
Good Video. Thank you.
Did you disconnect the rear hoses in the front in order to flush the front core or did you leave those connected as well?
I flushed the rear and did the same thing at the rear
What size are those hose menders that you have to connect the 2 hoses together?
5/8" standard heater hose
Is there 2 heater cores in Chevy Tahoe s I have. 2005 ,do I need totake the t off by the fire wall and flush it or can I do closer to engine
You have to flush them both individually like it did in the video. The second one is in the back behind the rear passenger wheel
You have to flush them both individually like I did in the video. The rear I core is behind the passenger rear tire
Yap yap yap yap yap..... SHOW YOUR WORK! DAAAM!!
Wow you feel better after typing that big MAN?
No tool needed. They are quick disconnect.
You need the quick disconnect tool..
I cannot hear you you mean a closer microphone for sure
