Hi guys. I’m going to get married soon. Can u please share some tips on how to have a good married life ? I love watching ur videos and sharing it with my friends and family.😍 In a world of Netflix and TV,my parents are not into nature and Adventure. But I don’t want my new family to be like that.

Congratulations on your upcoming marriage!!! And apologies for the delayed reply! We have so much to say on this topic but will try to be brief in this comment. Love is a choice and partners have to choose to love each other and show one another grace and patience every day. You may not like each other or your partner's actions every day, but choose love and show each other love. Also know that there will be seasons/peaks and valleys. This is completely normal. In the valleys and tough periods, reflect on your vows and the lifelong commitment you've made to each other. Communication is key! Be willing to be vulnerable and open, revisit, and talk through every/any part of your life because we all carry emotional baggage into a marriage that will affect you, your partner and the relationship. Be honest but always try to be kind with your words. As for family values and culture, our experience has been that our kids learn not only from our words and what we say to them but also from our actions and what we actually do. This means we've had to work on our own bad habits, such as too much screen time (TV, computer, phone) and eating habits (consuming lots of sugar and processed foods). If you make certain activities a habit - for example, weekly family bike rides, daily neighborhood walks with dad, reading time in the evening, etc. - it will become your family culture and become normal to your kids. We admit that it's hard in the beginning (i.e. when the kids are toddlers) because putting the kids in front of a device is a huge temptation, especially when you as parents are feeling overwhelmed. But we urge you to try to push through. We didn't have a TV until we moved to Canada, and our TV is currently in our basement. Out of sight, out of mind. Hope this is helpful! Wishing you a joyful start to your marriage and a lifetime of love!!! ❤️❤️❤️
