If they want to make the sport more exciting for the Spectators but also have less environmental impact then just go back to V10's fuelled by 100% sustainable fuel, this will mean the cars can be lighter and smaller because they're not lugging around a big heavy battery. Push to pass is a joke just like DRS, I've thought the regulations were meant to mean the cars would be able to pass without the need for these ridiculous systems and now the next regulations have another system fully baked into them. 🤦🏼
All we want is NA V10s and they keep giving us green garbage.
Speak for yourself
@@GryphLane For myself and most fans. You go watch Formula E, and leave us alone.
Easy, just take your DeLorean back to the bad old days
@@GryphLane He's speaking for a lot of people to be fair
@@GryphLaneThe EV fad is dying off, renewable and sustainable fuels should be the focus from now...
The FIA (and FOM?) don't like the phrase "push to pass" because it's been used in Indycar for many years. "Worst of all" Indycar is an AMERICAN racing series. FIA and FOM love American dollars, but seem to hate Americans. The 2026 "revolutionary" changes to the F1 regulations give us ... almost identical cars to what we have now. Genius! Only Formula 1 could achieve that.
im so tired of everything having to be ''sustainable''. why can't FUN be the focus?
Black Manta style 🤔
It's a shame that f1 is continuing with this electric push and sustainability nonsense.
Wonder how bad they'll sound with 50% electric now..
Bring back 13 inch wheels!
Go back to manual gearshifts and foot clutch. Drivers need to be able to make shifting mistakes.
The world's most expensive SPEC series,
Cant wait
Not enough done in my opinion, should have went to a V4, brought back refueling and even narrower front wing (inside front tyres), this would have reduced the weight, shortened the car and increased the drafting effect which would have removed the DRS. Maybe even get rid of the halo.
"Maybe even get rid of the halo." Yes and helmets and fire-proof drivers suits and seat belts. Require the use of unlined fuel cells (so the cars explode when they crash). Now that would be some serious "show business" style of racing. Kinda like an Olde Tyme racing movie. Or, like F1 actually was in the mid-1960's.
Absolutely horrible take. Taking out the halo would be reversing so much, so many of the lineup would’ve been disfigured if not dead without it. Refueling is gladly not here due to the danger it brings. Safety comes first, ALWAYS.
They’re actually getting HEAVIER and then they’re skimming weight off the tyres! …so they’ll have less grip, and be heavier in the center. Utter, utter, crap. 💩
Except that they're 30kg lighter
@@GryphLane because of the thinner tyres. - If you were going to trip weight off a racing car, would you trim it off the only contact patch with the ground? And make the engine heavier?
When will motorsport come to appreciate that for the first time in history, the interests of the car industry is not conducive to great motor racing?!?! It’s admirable that F1 tried hybrid technology as it is in the game of cutting edge technology, but at some point you have to accept these cars are just rubbish.
Get rid of the stupid batteries - we've already got Formula E with that electric crap. V-10s on sustainable fuels is the way to go.
It just isn't. Fact.
Driving a generator basically
Too many batteries. Sad to see F1 evolving into FE.
Why beat your brains out trying to find the right formula when you could just bring out the blueprints of a 2007 F1 car and install a modern V10 . The car would be lights and nimble, narrow and fast, much easier to race and pass and sound amazing. You don’t have to re invent the wheel to make racing great. Just look to the past
Ohhh you mean engineering is a major part of F1. And when the engineers can’t figure it out the car falls down the grid…interesting…
Please find an alternative solution to Halo. Indycar is doing well with the Windscreen.
Nah the halo looks pretty decent ngl
I think it works for now. Maybe in the future but I think since the crash in 2020 I think they are sticking to their guns for it
I think the halo is a better option
SCRAP THE HALO. Don't care if I get banned from internet for saying so.
Smaller cars should make Monaco less of a snooze fest.
Monaco is never a snoozefest
@@Doubledeepfried With practically no overtaking the only excitement comes from accidents.
50 -50 split ICU and EV.....wait it is half way Formula E
It should be called FH1, Formula Hybrid 1!...
Meh, I bet the cars are going to be even slower than what they already are, especially during race, with even more dead weight on once the battery starts to run out of juice!...
Goodbye 2019-2020 F1 cars, the fastest ever...
fans cry and then they watch every race
don't like it? stop watching
These regulations sound lame af
F2 CARS
Why they do this in f1, who bring these current? With bio fuel, and electric engines??? Why you don't let f1 alone like WRC . I didn't hear any of this bs on WRC
Stop giving the following car all the advantages, overtakes are boring otherwise. This is like giving the losing team in football the advantage of catching the ball with their hands.
Lift and coast are the worst things in a race
What about getting rid of pit stops which are not relevant to motor racing and making the cars run a full race on one tank of fuel. This would make the teams actually help the motorist by getting better fuel consumption!
I don't like the thick nose and 2008 front wing.
I swear to god the average fan could design a better car than the FIA
You are clearly a teenager, with a lot to learn.
Have you ever designed a set of rules for others to follow?
It's incredibly difficult because it requires foresight and lateral thinking.
It is also very easy for the people to criticise when they have the benefit of hindsight.
Governments, competition organisers and leaders of all types receive criticism from the naive ignorants amongst us.
@@procatprocat9647 What im trying to say is that the fundamental rule set is flawed, The engines are horrible, and the cars have no downforce. To make up for these horrific shortcomings they need to have these ridiculous gimmicks like overide mode and x mode
@@Kerbal18 You didn't answer my question.
Have you ever designed a set of complex rules?
Have you ever designed any high end Engineering?
If so, tell me what you've done.

F1 Deleurian
F1 needs to get away from this hybrid era and return to high performance ICE. They can keep all thier virtue signalling for Formula E if they want to showcase battery tech. F1 should be about racing, driver skill and performance !
No more Redbull aero and drs supremacy. Wow They just want to stop redbull for good😢
Let's pick the dullest shades of blue to present the dullest evolution of a dull version of F1...See ya lads...!...im off to WEC...afterall, I love Soul and Spirit.
Glad to see smaller cars with more conventional wings, but otherwise this is an extremely boring update.
Complicated mess!!!!
Still too heavy, too big, and it’s a halo device car so hopefully history looks back on this era and says that these cars are complete rubbish.
This rule set is a total disgrace. What did they just scrap these, and bring the 2030 regulations forward a year or two (16 inch tyres, slightly shallower tunnels, narrower chassis, potentially biofueled ICEs and refuelling)? F1 is rapidly becoming glorified Formula E, spec series junk.
AND A SUB CAR Could , might or could be EXCITING YEAH , Like when a driver crashes out of gets hit or has a engine failure , then when safety car is in motion the sub car comes out , , but when it's 25 laps or less no sub car can be used
just a idea for some new EXCITEMENT FOR F1
arguing against a V10 is arguing with most of the fan base, and all of the drivers. keep mocking people tho. whatever helps you sleep at night 😂
11:49 hot take I can’t stand Muhammad I find him to be a pretentious Backstabber and con man. He’ll say one thing then do the absolute opposite. We need someone consistent as head of the FIA not a flake such as him. Jeanne Todd was the best thing that ever happened to the FIA. This man has systematically created drama at every turn. And I wouldn’t put it past him skimming some money off the top somewhere. I’ve heard some people online talking about how him and Stefano don’t get along. They have totally different visions.
Wow so pathetic. As ,,nimble" as a bulldozer - 30 kg. I will stop watching F1 when this comes to effect.
More of the same 'ol same 'ol then. Quit watching live several years back as it became more and more "slot car" racing with the winner typically decided in the 1st couple corners and just stuck to watching the 15 minute highlight reels on YT later in the day. (Also have better things to do with my time!!) Kinda also all but lost interest in the "tech" side, more so as all the "innovation" has been squooze out by the rules makers and they become more and more of a "spec series". Toss on that fire the politics, Hammies "PC, crybaby dumbf#ckery" and just downright BORING racing.... These days we have more fun attending at the local tracks watching "real people" doing "real racing". Better people in the crowds to.
Dead sport
More rubbish which wont work.!!! 1 Engine and 1 Car and then we get some racing.
Can they put that method of having KERS again that boost button , that they can use each new lap?????
