      Wake Up !! Don't you know YET that the function of the news media is not only to report the news but to create the news as well ??? News outlets care about NO One but themselves and what story "sells" the best. This is what happens to Freedom of The Press when it's put into the hands of Greedy Capitalists. American Propaganda looks down at nations where The Press is "controlled" by the government, but how can that be worse than the Media Circus allowed here in America ???

    That was some good reporting. Renting is a double-edged sword. On one hand you have renters struggling to make their rent trying to make a honest living on the other side you have landlords trying to make their property payments and having tenants that are abusing the moratorium and not paying a cent to their landlords. So landlords have no other way out but to sell their properties.

    I don't know what state this is in, but typically if a landlord is giving tenants a notice to vacate for no cause, or in this case the owner wanting to remodel so they can sell the property, or even if they just want to remodel, usually relocation assistance is required by law by the Lanlord. I'm in Oregon, so I know for sure out here that is how it is. I'm not sure about other states though.

  • @leih9266
    @leih9266 Год назад

    There should be a cap of tenants who haven’t paid rent like up to 2 months or 3 months. Because this isn’t right at all. But for some reason other companies can take automatic payments like gyms, subscriptions, apps etc. yes it’s a home, but if you can’t afford it and the state should offer those who can’t afford rent to more affordable homes. If they can’t pay now, how will they catch up on all the missing payments esp if it’s more than 3 months? There needs to be a cap on it. If the government supports free rent, then they need to offer homes from the state rather than private properties.

    Seems like a reasonable and honest man being put through the ringer by a bad tenant. But one never really knows the real motive for evicting someone. Courts tend to be pretty sympathetic to renters since the apartment is technically their home; it's where they live. Losing your home is seen as a much bigger loss than the $35,000 the landlord lost, since he still has a home to live in. Eventually, the tenants will have to leave, though. Let's hope they treat the property with respect, and just pack their things and go when the time comes. The landlord will probably never see the money he is owed. Yes, it's a pain in the neck to have to move from one place to another. I get it. Maybe the landlord could help them find another place in the same neighborhood at around the same price, even though he shouldn't have to do it. But it would be one way to try to finally end this madness.

    • @taylorbug9
      @taylorbug9 Год назад

      Money he is owed? Landlords are useless Middle Men who make their money off the hard work of others. They didn't earn that money. This is their just desserts for trying to make money off someone else's home. Landlords are half the reason we have such a house in crisis in this country.

    I must be missing something because it sounds like these people only tried to evict them after a problem was found and then solved. And why are they renting themselves if they own rental properties? That just sounds like they're completely unintelligent. He's saying he won't accept rent. He's admitting that he wants them out just so he can make it nicer and charge more.

      Who said they weren't paying rent? He said he found mold and that it was taken care of. If your landlord is trying to kick you out illegally why would you pay them rent?

    The reporter is harassing the landlord! As a renter, I think it is disgusting how renters are allowed to take advantage of landlords. If they can afford a lawyer, they can afford to pay rent. Losers!

    • @taylorbug9
      @taylorbug9 Год назад

      If they have a lawyer then I'm willing to bet his money is in an escrow account. He literally said he won't accept their money even if they tried to pay him. This man tried to make money off of somebody's else's home without any work on his own part. Why hasn't he been making these improvements over time? He's a slumlord. And not a very smart one considering he's renting himself. How are you going to be a renter yourself when you own rental properties?

    The real story is deadbeat renters are now suing landlord how shameful on news

    • @taylorbug9
      @taylorbug9 Год назад

      But landlords are the deadbeats. They're useless middlemen who make their money off the hard work of others. They don't do any actual work and they don't deserve the money they get either.

    That was some good reporting. Renting is a double-edged sword. On one hand you have renters struggling to make their rent trying to make it honest living on the other side you have landlords trying to make their property payments and having tenants that are abusing the moratorium and not paying a cent to their landlords. So landlords have no other way out but to sell their properties.
