Hello Addie! This is a touchy subject for me, I only pumped for 2 months😔 i should have never gave up. I honestly have to give credit for all the breastfeeding mamas! It isn’t easy. Thanks for sharing your tips I will definitely keep them in mind for my future!
I love my Spectra pump!!! Also great tips. I like how you shared the law that an employer has to offer a time and a place for mommas to pump. So many times I see Moms showing pictures of their pumping station at work and it’s in the bathroom and truly saddens me.
omg your kitchen i'm obsessed!! girl you have such good tips I pumped when the kids came right and I wasn't at work. it was intense I give so much credit for those that have to pump at work!
Thank you. Lots of good advice. My baby isn't even here yet. Not until April and I'm already worried about this topic. So thank you so much. Very helpful.
This was really helpful. I’m definitely not a big fan of pumping at work. They reserved an office room for me but it already belongs to someone. I work evenings so often times I have to wait for them to leave. Sometimes I can’t gauge when I need to pump. It’s like going to the bathroom so I don’t have the time to ask for the space and wait for them to leave so I just go to my car when I bring my manual pump with me. Def not ideal. Other times the office area is locked because they leave early and I don’t feel like finding my supervisor to unlock the door for me. I maybe pump inside the building twice a week and the rest of the week I either wait til I get home or pump in my car.
I enjoy your videos You have great tips Just the one about out the bottle in the fridge and used again in the next session, it's not good mix clod milk with the warm milk the we just pump it can cause bacteria. You can put the milk together after they are both at the same temperature
Yes, great clarification! They can be mixed, but you wouldn’t want to pump directly into the already cold milk. You’d want to pump into a separate bottle or bag then combine them when both cold.
i pumped at work, they gave me a space in the break room to do it, it was nice but it was so stressful lol nice thing was i would power pump all night and early morning so i would be on my "fill up" time at work so just alot of swelling and pain and leaking while at work somtimes and id go pump every 3 hours or so...for 20 min or so but i was a MILK MACHINE lol i was blessed, i could pump 8-10oz off each side in 20 min...so my supply was really strong and constant. so i got lucky.
WOW!! That is definitely an amazing supply!! I'm sure there are many jealous mama's out there!! On the other hand, leaking and swelling doesn't sound fun either
It is not easy!!! There is a high percentage (I can't remember the exact number at the moment) who give up pumping at work all together and switch to formula by the 3rd month of returning to work :(
watching this...wish Id had this video for reference 3 years ago when i was preparing to breast feed! Working on baby #2 🤞🏾so your tips may come in handy after all :) Great tips!! New subbie!
I’m going to be going to school and I probably won’t be able to wash the pump any tips on how to keep it clean after pump session ect hes 2 months old I will only be there for 3 hours
If you only need to do 1 pump session while you're gone, then you can just keep in the fridge and wash at home (assuming you will have access to one). If not then a cooler with an ice pack.
Every person will be different with the time it takes to pump, but you’ll be looking to pump a certain amount. So for example, if your baby eats every 3 hours, you’ll want to pump until you have 3-4.5 ounces (depending on how much baby eats) every 3 hours that you are away. Does that make sense? Some moms respond to the breast pump very well and can get 3-4.5 ounces in 7 minutes while it may take a different mom 18 minutes to get the same amount
You can totally smell a bad milk! I always smell it anyway, just because u can never know what you eat could make a milk go bad faster than average.. 😬
I have definitely done my research and do what is right for me and my family. I do realize that what works for me might not work for everyone so definitely do what works for you and your situation. You can take what you like and leave the rest 🙂

After pumping do i have to put directly in refrigerator in ziplock bag or do i have to rinse first then refrigerator?

Pumping at work gives me anxiety.. I worry if someone will walk in on me!
It has happened to me once, but my back is always turned to the door. .. it wasn't as bad as I imagined lol 😅
This is great info!! Check out one of our most recent video's about getting ready to pump at work! 💗
Thanks for watching
You can totally smell a bad milk! I always smell it anyway, just because u can never know what you eat could make a milk go bad faster than average.. 😬
Yes, you definitely can.. you can't mistake it lol
There are lots of good but also some contrary/misleading tips here. Please make sure to do your education and do what's right for you.
