I have been married to a white man for 28 years. When we met my hair was super short and natural and I went to a barber to maintain the short look. One day he asked me why I wasted money on a barber. He said he could do the same thing. He has been cutting my hair just as good if not better than a barber for the past 27 years.
Reading some of these comments. Thumbs up to ANY man who treats his woman with love, respect and accepts her for who she is and not what others think she should be. Let us respect each other as people. Man, woman, regardless of skin tone, size, hair type-none of those things matter. He/She got bad breath you can work on that too.

My ex a white man was the one that gave me the confidence to shave all my damaged permed hair off. The black men I dated wouldn't let me touch my hair with clippers. That man looked me in my eyes and said if ur hairs damaged cut it off it's hair ur still beautiful. So he sat me on the toilet and shaved my head. He would rub my scalp, from fade cut all the til it grow it to a small frow. He liked to watch me twist my hair and tried on occasion to help. He'd hell wash my hair and all. He was curious and took interest and helped. I loved that about him.

My white husband and I have been together over 20 years. I have been natural for a good 8 years. He has watched what I do every day and every night. You know the conditioning, the deep conditioning, the washing, the co-washing, the detangling, etc. I asked him the other week, if I got sick and had to go the hospital would he be able to do my hair if I couldn't. He had a deer in headlights look and said nothing. I asked him again as I wrote this, he still said nothing.

To me, skin colour simply isn't enough to deter me from being with someone, and I won't hate white people because of the system as I'm a quarter white (I'm not light skinned) and the white members of my family are just as decent as the black members of my family. I happen to be in a relationship with an East Asian guy and his heritage doesn't matter to me because he is a good person.
