Thanks you for the tip, very useful since im using inokim ox in a tropical country which most of the time it rains here really hard. I hope I could find a suitable grease like you used on your Ox.
yo im looking at getting an Ox. did you ever end up having water damage? ive seen comments from some guys who didnt even grease and did fine so just checking.
@@jakestephens4868 No, I haven't tried running it on a really bad weather, but I did run it on a light drizzle and never had problems with it as long as there's no damage in your cover. But for your own peace of mind you'd want to try waterproofing it just in case.
Really appreciate it man, means a lot to me! i am planning on better produced video in the future, not just "live stream" type as this one. Stay tuned :) and BTW, a lot that is done on this one might work on other brands as well, they have a lot in common !

Thank you for your videos, they are helpful. How do you remove the entire wheel assembly (rim, disc brake, motor, and tire) from the rear suspension arm? There is a wire right in the middle of the nut. (In this video, you just removed the motor assembly and left the disc brake.) How often should we put grease on this part? Thank you again!

So pleased to see this as an early OX adopter. Thank you, but am I MISSING something?? After greasing the rim and bearing how does one line up the bolt holes when replacing the wheel under that heavy magnetism?
@@SUB13333 How kind of you to reply so soon. Thank you!. After reviewing the beginning of your video once again, I noted where you were able to move the inner plate bolt holes freely to align the motor housing mounting holes itself so it isn't going to be an issue after all **Smiling** Thank you so much again and hope your studies (electrical engineering perhaps?) are going well for you.
Deflate it completely, add some soap water on the rim and tire, then inflate it just a few psi at a time and check that the tire is seated propely ( spin and watch for wobbles , some wobble will always occur, the idea is to minimize it ). If theres a serious offset at some part of the tire, when not fully inflated ( about 10 psi ) its easy to just push\pull\ squeeze it in the right direction.
Hi. Would you be able to do a video for putting the rear wheel back on? It seems like there is a small bit that you need to pull in once the magnets have caught to allow the engine to seal?
Hey dude, I hope you are well. I love the videos you post. I just got an OX a few days ago. You seem to be the best expert! I have a major problem. on a ride exactly one day after I got it the motor seized. Applying throttle gets me very little thrust and it clicks and grinds from the hub. Of course I am not using it now. Do you have any idea what could cause something like this? I really appreciate your help if You could advise me.
They had a batch that their controllers were shorted after you hit a bump, but now it fixed. Maybe you've got one of that exact batch. Usually covered by warranty.
one more thing what size nut is used on the axel. There might be a socket in autmotive repair it's an o2 sensor socket it would save a lot of work if it was the correct size?
While your in there you could further protect against corossion by applying red insulating varnish to the magnets and the stator. What kind of grease are you using?
Familiar with this solution I just think it's a bit over kill for me, not planning on going heavy off road, just occasional weather slips. The grease is high temp grease, by wurth.
@@SUB13333 Alright thanks for quick reply, recently bought OX super and since it doesn't promise any water resistance, at least on page of manufacturer, I stumbled on your video. Thanks for a advice! Keep up the good work! :D
yep. also, to be 100% sure, you can unscrew it with r-type allen key in between the rotor and the rim, just to release the tension, and then proceed with ball end allen through the rotor for quicker results.
Do you really need to seperate motor from magnets just to put grease on ? Wont be easier just glue or something to cover that gaps ? Of course might be best idea to seal engine copper wires like i did with mi pro m365 And i am thinking to get inokim oxo do i need open whole cover to check out if everything is tight and fit ?
about 70% of the OX motors i've opened, had some rust in it. ( brand new ). i removed the stator to make a cleaner job, and its pretty easy to remove it so why not. it gives you a chance to take a glance at the whole thing , and theres nothing bad in that. motor copper wires is least of an issue, because when water gets in, the rust eventually ungluing the magnets.
@@SUB13333 Like an introduction, what motor it have, built quality, what speed it gets. and also, like you're doing with Inokim, advices of where to strengthen things, how to water proof it, maybe how to upgrade it.. etc... thanks!
That's a different procedure that is not required for water resistance process. You need to deattach the motor cables inside the body and use 19' socket with a cut in it ( you should've got one with the scooter but it's a very bad one so don't use it , but buy a similar one just better quality. I didn't even buy it, I just took 19' socket and made a cut in it with angle grinder so I would be able to put in on a nut and the cable together )

Nope. Shitty scoot to upgrade.
Wear protective gloves when removing the motor to protect your hands from pinching, those magnets aren't a joke.
