@@kelvinsgarage i bought whole kyb set for front including bearings and rubber pieces only expection is the springs, im planning on trying the oem springs first. Im replacing whole Kyb rear strut set too. I hope they fit well to FN4
Project is now finished with pretty good results. My old OEM struts where so shot that i could pinch the rod with my fingers and move it up and down. Moving the springs from the old struts was nearly impossible with out heating the top nut with a blowtorch as it was full of tread locker. Good thing we had all the tools + parts and a long weekend to make everything correctly. Thanks again for this video :)
they’re holding up ok but these assemblies were never too comfortable. most people would use these assemblies to avoid the effort in replacing the strut top mount.
@@jonathann676 oof...sorry to hear that. i did some more research and just decided to go oem. I had some coilovers that only lasted 7k miles. Think i'm done with aftermarket parts.

I selected the KYB complete strut because it’s easier than replacing the individual springs and strut components.

This. Heard terrible things about the top mounts for these. Thinking about getting the complete assembly but getting different top mounts.

@jonathann676 they have a lifetime warranty if you want to make a want to claim. they do blow and i’ve gotten several replacements already.
