100% agree. I almost always recommend people start with a pothos in a jar of water as their first plant

My pothos was dying after hanging in the kitchen for ~20 years. I didn't want to give up on it so I cut off all the rotting parts until I was left with a 4 inch green stem. After about a month it slowly started getting it's first new, healthy green leaf again.
    Really tough plants.
    They're also great air-cleaners.

It’s the moisture and humidity from the shower ❤ it is able to pull water from the humidity and that is all it needs to thrive ❤

Over 25 years my mom was given one single leaf clipping. After 15 years it was a dozen full pots. And a huge section of yard. We moved and she left all but one. In about 5 years that one pot became a dozen again plus a garden patch and 2 walls. About 5 years ago she moved once again and my sister and i moved out of state, to different states. My mom is back up 4 or 5 and a garden patch. This some my mom brought my sister and I each one tiny clipping so that we may continue the legacy of that one clipping from 25 years ago so we may continue to pass it down. Its someone very special we share.

@squidleyskidley S.E. Texas. But even the bad freeze they had a few years ago didn't kill them. Their comon name is Devil's Ivy because it's nearly impossible to actually kill them for good.

@@squidleyskidley they're tropical plants from what I've learned that grow on the ground getting low to medium light. So they can definitely be planted on the ground but where it's moist.
