Your right but it can be taught to an extent, but it takes both parents and a ton of life experiences from such a young age. A stoic father that the kid looks up to and a mother that doesn't coddle and make excuses when they don't do well. The kid still has to have the right soul, personality, and ambition. Haiden has been around so much greatness in the world of extreme sports. The accomplishments of the people he's been around and hung out with are astonishing. A kid watching people achieve greatness in real life can learn what that looks like and what it takes. He couldn't have had a better situation, and he's got that it factor. Built different... We should all be striving to build better humans. That's what means to be a parent. You're preparing them to be great in life. The Deegan's do it right.

This reel is gold! Thanks for the candid insight guys! Love your son's good vibe and style on the bike. I'm not sleeping on his talent becoming a solid contender. The longevity for athletes makes it a long road ahead. Never compare one young guns maturity to another. Just grind your pace and pick it up where you can in your time. When it clicks, it will be way better that you're ready for it. The fractions can be made up in ways that need to be studied. But hopefully Ryder learned to listen to your input next year. No need to wait for all your competition to dial it before ya even try it... Danger rides his own race. He's unique and not like anyone else trying to qualify. Thanks for the reel guys!

Now throw in all the top pros (including his Dad) who taught him this and that along the way and the fact he always sucked it up like a sponge and has the ability to go do it. It may not be the smooth refined way of the Lawrence brother's but it is a gritty give it all style that overtime will get refined but in a state of chaos still. I think he will need that in certain scenarios. I don't think with riders like the Lawrence brother's have ever been in a scenario of totally chaos and needed to show that style of riding so could the adapt from the super fluid style to chaotic and back again? We will see with Hunter moving up because I don't think he has the same level of skill his brother does and may need that extra grit come 450 time.

Or perhaps its because he has a screw you attitude, and he does. Brian has a screw you attitude too. Its probably due to all of the above.
You could say maybe Brian knew that a champion is always in the spotlight so he might as well put a camera on Haiden and have millions of people watching everything he does because when he's a champion that's going to happen anyway....did Brian know that? maube, maybe not BUT it is what it is.

As far as smx playoffs not mattering as much, tell that to the guys who just won all that money and that #1 plate. Love it or hate it, it’s going to be the biggest championship in the sport in the next few years. But hey, you are just trying to find a way to discredit deegan by discrediting what he just won. He finished 2nd and 4th in sx and mx (should have been 2nd in mx also) in his rookie season, so I’d say he’s doing pretty good and has plenty of sx and mx titles coming in the near future

Is Mick Hannah possibly the same kid ‘Michael Hannah’ whom I travelled the world with racing Bmx as a youngster?

RJ has taken so many riders out including himself trying to make passes and he gets praised for having heart, Haiden pushes riders around him and gets called sketchy. Makes no sense to me.

Jo goes out of his way to hit deegan, crickets......
If deegan did that the media would play it over and over. The couch fainters would be livid.
That said. Can't wait for the deegan vs shimoda battles in 24. Like both of them so don't care who takes the w.

@@sawtoothscream1521 same, definitely a big Danger fan but Shimoda, Thrasher, Smith if he can stay on two wheels. We'll all be competitive. I'm definitely excited for 24'
