Bruh Shikamaru didn’t go cuz with Naruto gone he’s the next dude in charge of the village. He can’t just go to another dimension like that, with no guarantee where it is or if he can come back. And especially without communicating that he’s going.
I respect small details like this. They’re not kids anymore, the OG gang have rules and stuff they need to follow and uphold. No more impulsive decisions, you gotta be a team player.
Then he does stupid shit exactly opposite to that in the manga and will probably fuck the village in the future that way

I'm with Pat for this yo. Shikamaru shouldn't jump into the portals with them bcs he have take care of the village in absence of Naruto. Also Mitsuki was clutch for saving Boruto and Kawaki.
I mean there are two other people in the village capable of looking after the village until naruto or shikamaru returned the former hokage kakashi or the other hokage candidate Sakura so 🤷🏿♂️

@@u_p3847 bruh protecting the Village isnt all about physical power. It's important to devise a plan to maximize things like safety and defense, that's literally why Shikamaru is who he is. No shit he cant take on Kara but SOMEONE needs to be in charge of the Village or else everyone is fcked
Shikamaru isn't even allowed to leave the village once the Kage isn't there since he's the second in command. Especially with Sasuke out of comission, chill guys.
For all Shikamaru knew, Jigen could've been waiting on the other side of that portal. Shikamaru had every right to want to at least wait until Sasuke recovered to try and figure out a plan of action. Kawaki's arm suddenly coming back online shouldn't have incited a sense of urgency for rescuing Naruto just as it shouldn't have been a signal to start taking things easy. The lack of info Shikamaru was working with supports both sides of the argument, which is why it's easy to play devil's advocate. Like, "I don't trust Kawaki, so I'm going with him through the portal." vs "I don't trust Kawaki, so I'm not gonna let him lead me into a trap." Also, there's no way Shikamaru could've stopped those kids so suddenly after getting his jutsu absorbed.
YALL BUGGGIN, Yall know Kara a whole originization...NARUTO AND SASUKE are down for the count...and you want the leafs stratagist and 2nd in command to just jump into a portal, that's some childish thinking.

I agree with Pat. It wasn't smart for Shikamaru to go through the portal with them. As the Hokage's advisor he had to stay behind and look after the village. The new opening was heat. Love how at the end of it Himawari was wearing a Kurama purse. 😂 That rasengan boost that Boruto got when Kawaki gave him extra power from the Karma was fire af. New team 7 🔥
i agree with pat, shikmaru has way more responsibilities in the village than watching after a few kids who just acted rash and jumped through the portal cause they have plot armor
If shikamaru went with them who is supervising the village? Shikamaru might not be the strongest but there is a reason he is the 2nd in charge and he obviously helps Naruto with most of the political work Naruto does. If Shikamaru went in the portal what would happen to the village? What else would he add to the fight unless he has a new transformation we don't know about which is just impossible but alright.
He would probably be actually helpful in the fight he restrained monoshiki and kinshiki but yeah he needs too keep check of the village

I find it funny how the big debate at the end over Shikamaru was simply over a case of "anime time" vs him not wanting to go. Shikamaru was caught off guard by having his jutsu absorbed and the kids jumped in b4 he could react. What seemed like it took moments on screen happened instantly in their time. It's the same reason how DBZ characters can talk to each other while fighting despite fighting at beyond light speeds. They aren't slowing down to talk, our perception is slowing down so we the viewers can understand the situation.

Shikamaru was better where he was since naruto is Mia and sasuke is unconscious. It’s smart for him to stay behind since he’s the next to take charge. It’d be stupid of him to jump into the unknown for who knows how long
Shikamaru is in charge of the village defense and is responsible for keeping the village safe while naruto is gone. If naruto AND sasuke got fucked up Shikamaru is smart enough to know the odds of his power being able to do anything at all are close to 0.

I think that some of them have already watched the shows and are faking their reactions/guesses for future episodes most notably Jerry. Him assuming Boro has a piece that needs to be destroyed in order to defeat him because delta had one is a literal shot in the dark with basically no evidence for or against it.

Unpopular opinion. Maybe shikamaru didn’t have time to jump in since ‘anime time’ is a thing. We don’t know how long it passed after he got his shadow absorbed. Also, I thought getting chakra syphoned out makes you go through withdrawal for a couple seconds, but maybe that isn’t the case.

Why?
The Nara clan are already diplomats of the leaf Shikamaru was born and taught how to lead. He’s a master strategist who’s spent he’s whole life figuring out complex situation and playing highly complicated matches with he’s father who already helped run the leaf. He was the first out of the group to become a Jonin. Naruto skills would have never gone dull as ninja and he’d probably be a better father to Boruto preventing many problems Boruto had in the show.

Good to see they enjoy Boruto, granted they don't watch the "Anime Cannon" which honestly is what makes boruto ass...if Boruto simply followed the manga it would actually be respectable amongst more critical viewers.
Not really when Naruto and Sasuke forget every ability to their name (i.e. the Jigen fight), the current 5 Kage surpass the Messiah of Shinobi (i.e Hagoromo), area 51 reincarnation tattoos, cyborgs stronger than the Messiah of Shinobi, and bloody Genin that are able to fight these Hagoromo+ level fighters as we can see here. Boruto is just a bad sequel to Naruto that teeters on bad fanfiction levels of awful.
Nah they watched all the anime canon which is why it took a damn year for them to get to the Vessel/Kara arc. And the Boruto manga was good... until the end of this arc. After after it (Code arc) is so ass lmao
