I am a skydiver and funny enough RIT (my college) has a skydiving team that I am a part of. We help teach other college kids how to skydive (as well as other Ti's, coaches and AFFI's). We competed at collegiate nationals last year. So yeah, if you want to learn to skydive, come learn at RIT

i think i would need real incentive to skydive. but it always seems like when you jump people for the most part have fun. just waiting for it and climbing is the most anxious and scary to others.

My dad had paratrooper wings. He was USAF from 1953 to 1975. I would never jump from a plane. I will stay in the back where it's safer. Lol

well I've always told myself that I would never jump out of a perfectly good working aircraft but now I am starting to rethink that. Why not, life is just too short. Also, can you get a ride along in a helicopter - something like a blackhawk or a huey. That would be cool.
When the chute opens is there a shock to the body it looks kind of violent. Nice video.

Since you did the jump school before, are you allowed to do solo jumps?
No, he is talking about basic airmanship 490 program. It is highly supervised. For him to do solos, he would have to go through AFF or MFF
I've worked for/met a few ringknockers with jump wings.
Two questions:
Have any Academy grads performed enough jumps to get Senior or Master Parachutist wing?
Secondly, why are standard military jump wings awarded? It seems to me freefall wongs would be in order.
This is not a sanctioned military jump team. All military jump operations are owned, inspected and supervised by the army. This is a airmanship course owned by the air force training command. It is well ran. As far any grads getting their senior wings, it is unlikely although not impossible unless the go to special warfare where they actually conduct MFF operations
I have a question, can we jump without using parachute into sea and the jump height should be more than 40,000 feets. A free fall.

The DZ is at 6500 MSL, they went 11000 AGL, meaning they actually got out at 17500 MSL, thus the need for oxygen. Also, AF regs mandate non-chambered personnel need to be on oxygen @10K' MSL and chambered @13K' MSL for no longer than 30 minutes

Hey Sam, I just started my Junior Year of highschool, and my dream is to become a pilot. My parents dont want me to join the Air Force and they want me to go to a local university(Purdue) instead of applying to the Academy. I'm not sure what to do to achieve my dream. I was just wondering if you had any tips? I love your videos and this one was really interesting! Keep up the great work
Amber show them all the benefits of going to the Academy! It’s sets you up great for success. Not sure why they wouldn’t support that.
Amber its your life, your future. At the end of the day its not forever unless you chose it to be a career. As a enlisted veteran I have NO regrets. But sooner or later you will be looking back wondering where the time went. I’ll be 55 soon. Chose wisely! But the addage of no risk, no reward is a reality.

Absolutely! It's the crew chief career. Check out some of the videos on the @f22demoteam YT page. I made one on launching out a jet.

Yes. You either have to be MFF qualified with 200 jumps, or have your license with 200 jumps to apply. You also have to at least be a Ssgt.
