I’m so grateful that our church not only believes that prayer is the engine of the church, but that it has prayer on consistent basis weekly with plans to have prayer 7 days a week. Our pastor frequently reminds us that the first century church was the example of prayer. They were either going to a prayer meeting, leaving a prayer meeting, or were in a prayer meeting! Prayer is our communion with the Father. We not only enter into His presence with praise, worship, and petition; we must learn to be still and wait on Him. This is often the most challenging part of prayer….the listen and the wait. Father, help us to wait on You with expectation.

In my Church in SC, a small Catholic Church, we always pray … at every single mass. And the homily on Sunday? Our priest told us to never give up. The whole homily was about never giving up. After Mass, there was a special prayer service and then those of us in attendance walked around the perimeter of our church singing and praising God. As I watched this group I thought to myself “We are God’s … oh what’s the word? “ I couldn’t think of it. And then it came to me ‘Remnant’. We are God’s remnant. So I was amazed when I saw the title of this GH15 pop up in my notifications this morning. Truly a confirmation from our good Lord.
So are you all taught to pray outside of the “building” on your own at home. It’s good to pray as the body, but our prayer life is ours to pray without ceasing. God bless you!
Of course! Prayer is a pillar of faith and the basis of a relationship with God. It must not just occur on Sundays. We must pray always and about everything. Ephesians 6:18: "Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion"

I fully concur. Most churches do not pray for their nation and don't care if their congregants go for vacation or go for a picnic on voting day. Many preachers don't even remind their church congregation to vote on voting day. This is the condition in many republics and democracies and the USA is one of them including the U.K., India, Canada, Australia. The Church loses ground in contributing to the prosperity and development of the nation when it refuses to teach stewardship, exercise dominion, the importance of daily prayer and intercession for the nation, and the constitutional responsibility of casting one's vote for suitable candidates. The Church loses its voice when it refuses to become "salt" and "light" as Jesus said.

I am reminded of Galatians 6:9 as I listen to this Give Him 15. (And you mentioned the exact verse while I was typing this!)

I joined the prayer group not because it was a gift I have but because I was outraged it wasn't happening. God has grown our prayer group to all three services and someone on our South campus has felt the call to prayer. God is awakening something. I got saved from Satanism during revival in Iowa. I understand the power of prayer.
