I've never been to the mountains, to elk hunt, but always desired to. Thank you for taking me there, with you. I remember a time, going to "a place" to talk with The Father. After turning off all distractions, I began my prayer with, "I missed you." He replied, "I missed you, too." It wrecked me because I knew I was the one who was neglecting to meet, together. After I was done sobbing, our time together was a true blessing. I need to get back to the pleasure of His company. I needed to hear this.

This is so true...and so awesome. For me He comes at 12 AM. It took me so long to realize it was Him calling. I thought it was a sleep issue. It wasn't at all. Over time I finally realized it was Him. Now when I go to bed it is with an anticipation of meeting Him later. He always gentle in waking me. The next 3 hours are His. Thanks Dutch for this reflection. It's worth it all...as an aside, I don't think Joshua or Moses slept for those days. God's presence sustained them in every way.

Dutch, this was so amazing and awe inspiring magnificent of the truth of being in Gods presence. The “place” it’s funny because I am in the process and just did this training exercise with my dog of teaching her to “place” on her blanket. You can use mat etc. it’s teaching her that it’s her safe place where she can settle her anxious thoughts when she hears voices, a knock at the door, etc. yes in the dog training world they cal lit “place” teaching the dog to settle and quiet their soul!!!! How amazing is this and that the teaching today is called The Place” where we can settle our soul quiet our mind in the presence of the Almighty God!! Whew this is a amazing
The more I know Him the more difficult it becomes to leave His presence. I do my best to remain focused on Him all day. He frequently brings a Butterfly or Dragon or Damsel fly. They seek me out to bless me with the pleasure of their company. Constant reminders of His glory. To create such a beautiful place, a living master piece for us to dwell. I stand in His company. Peaceful warm exciting and hopeful that someday soon I might be called home to rest in His presence.
