Another Amiga 4000 saved and restored! I doubt anyone on the planet has repaired as many Amigas for free so those of us who support you also admire your dedication to keeping our beloved Amiga alive. Thanks Doc!
Nice work as always Chris 👍🏻 Just used your method to remove some caps from an A1200 board. Then recapped the entire thing. First attempt too 🙏🏻 Keep up the good work😉 Thank goodness it was just the PSU that let go… Look forward to the next video. Cheers 🍻
I got that thing! About walking into a local place and getting what you needed PSU ‘s are the one thing that is a must If it’s anything computer wise ,from modern to the 486 Amiga
That audio sounded janky. Not just missing channels but distorted more than normal. Also, PEOPLE, send this man your spare parts boards!!! He’s helping ALL OF US…for FREE!! Also, that line is not from Platoon. It’s from Full Metal Jacket. ;)
I'd be more inclined to do so if it was for Chris. Enough of this free stuff, draws the worst. Of course I do know many donate after the fact , so I don't mean them.
Yes Chris Amiga parts are now expenxive, Analogic cant beleive their luck with Amiga scene again as they must be sitting on some Amiga stock with the price of their spare ICs and chips ECT,
That warp boot sound, I forgot all about that . Never knew where it came from but knew she was booting up when testing. Now years later, I don’t hear it anymore. Disabled scsi on the board way back when the machine took 8 minutes to boot. Not sure if that is related.
Nice work I gotta say you make great videos and do great things restoring old hardware. Because I'm too poor to get a real Amiga so I bought a Pi400 and run Pimiga 3 on it. It's an awesome piece/collection of software there's so much excellent work gone into it. But excuse me for being dumb; where is Sysinfo located on it? I'm pretty sure PiMiga works ok with the Orange Pi I wish I'd known that when I ordered my Pi400 only because its got more chooks in the boot; and the Pi400 doesn't handle RUclips videos very well. Oh Well the Pi400 with PiMiga is still an awesome alternative to real hardware. I actually have a USB Floppy Disk somewhere I wish I could find it. I know there's no way in this world I would have thrown it out, and I don't even have any floppies other than the single floppy that I intentonally left loosely sitting in it not locked. But I just wanna find it, it would be so cool having a real working floppy just becuase. I'd like to see a video on using Samba with PiMiga, I know such a video (or at least a video on using it with Workbench in geneal) exists. That's all, I'm rambling on but hey that's all good; you put so much time into making probably the best videos out of all the other RUclipsrs, I don't mind spending some of my time blabbering on saying thanks for making them.
Its all in the readme. Sysinfo is in sys:benchmarks or on the top right click toolbar under benchmarks. Smbmounter is on the dock. You need to enable smb1 on your targets
@@ChrisEdwardsRestorationTechnically she is a viewer, but also is family... In this case i can try to bite someone else. Most important is, another AMIGA lives on... :)!

I felt the PSU explosion from the last video in my soul. I am glad the board was ok. As always, keep up the Good Work.

It's great to see that you have repaired the machine that all the others couldn't.
2:40 - Love MicroCenter!!!
I bought stuff back in '80s, mail order before their stores came to town (Cincinnati)...

Another great video. Great rescue. Well done.
Your movie quote about “…this one is mine.” Is from Full Metal Jacket.
Hah yeah i realized that after i edited!
Again great work, Chris. I really do Like your vids very much. But the movie was Full Metal Jacket, not Platoon.❤
Ahh close!

Yes scsi has to be enabled
This Amiga only had a few problems. Looks to me like that riser board has been damaged from being thrown around.
What a legend.
