Within the first minute, I would be thinking it could be a co-worker or a subcontracted janitorial cleaner. Then I'd be getting a hidden nanny cam type stuffed animal camera & set on desk. Never automatically assume you know. Thinking it might be and knowing for sure, are two completely different things!

I wonder if Sarah's colleagues were upset with her for setting mike up to owe them money. Even though it was Mike's dishonesty that was the cause in the first place. If he hadn't stole the ticket illegally from her bag the first place, then it wouldn't have happened! He was a snack thief and was stealing Sarah's ideas and other illegal actions. He got what he deserved!!
I liked the story of a snack thief and embezzler who was stealing lunches and snacks from the OP, so the OP placed ghost pepper sauce on her food. The next time the thief stole her lunch, he ended with a very hot tongue, mouth, and throat. He tried to blame her for it, stating " what did you do to my food?" The OP replied, "you mean what did I do to my food? and why were you eating my lunch?" She innocently stated that she liked her food very, very spicy! If he was eating a lunch that didn't belong to him, and he didn't know what he was eating, then it was his fault. She was warned not to do that again, but what did she do except make HER lunch spicy to her taste! But the idiot was also found to have embezzled money and was later fired!! So, what goes around, comes around!!

If there getting it off of social media then it's mostly women and fake bots posting stories on those sites the guy stories don't usually gain traction so they won't get attention by these readers. Guys will keep it in the friends circle at most so that could also be why too.

How on earth Mike thought that he has a winning lottery ticket that he stole from Sarah? If it were, would Sarah just nonchalantly leave it in her bag and not secure it nor even try to find it? Didn't Mike check the winning "ticket" first before boasting to his officemates? If it were only the stolen office ideas and stolen snacks and lunches, this story might be plausible bu to add the winning lottery ticket is surely an overkill and kills the story so to speak.
Agreed. Boasting of being rich, just after Sarah was sure to notice the missing ticket, seems implausible. There are people that dumb--so maybe he was one, but it's a good way to expose his own crime.
I've heard of "fake ATM receipts" so a person your dating goes through your stuff and sees "your bank balance". Those can be gag gifts and the dumb dumb probably saw the ticket checked the numbers saw a match and didn't look any further into it.

They claim it's anonymous but we all know NOTHING is anonymous. If you don't know that learn that quickly or else it WILL cost you. I worked with someone who called the outside tip line and then was fired within a day or 2 by the person he called the tip in on over some petty crap. He of course claimed retaliation for the tip but since he didn't give his information they claimed "there was no way to know who called in the tip." When I called in a tip on the same person for something different I DID leave my name and the person was fired by the next day.

There are fake scratch offs with international names, so he might have thought it was Canadian, or the Irish lottery etc. The fakes are all winners of big prizes. It's an old prank.

Fun video, thanks, but “integrity and perseverance always win out?” Please; I’ve been working now for 40 years in office professional environments, and that is absolute fiction. The snakes and posturing hacks and suck up backstabbing incompetents almost always win out, at the expense of the people staying late and doing the actual work.
In reality Mike would have taken Sarah’s ideas as his own and been promoted. Then if he was fired for incompetence later, he would take a promotion to another company, where he could run them into the ground as well. I’ve seen it a dozen times. But, like I said, fun fiction with the women coming out on top again.
I suggested they plant a security cam when personal and company properties went missing, asked if I knew anything about the thefts because I was just a temporary custodian and who was on file? The security guards for years one after the other
What I would have done differently...the boss seems to be a very level-headed woman, so I would have brought her onboard at the beginning. Showed her the ticket, explain my plan, give her a coy of the ticket. That way, once the money-borrowing began, she could use her authority to pull the "winner" into the office and demand an explanation of this upcoming "windfall", and put a stop to it before it involved anyone else in the office. Mike would be exposed as a self-centered thief, be denied the promotion, and everything else would have come out in due course anyway.
A few dozen issues with this, but I'll at least admit it's probably just a story for the sake of entertainment and not meant to sound real
