Yes, I always thought it was SUCH a stroke of luck that they picked HIM out of all the trainees, when they could only afford to send ONE. But that manager was absolutely correct when he picked the one with most potential/most to gain from the trip! :D And after a month going around to the various studios and learning new things he wanted to drop singing and focus solely on dance - but the other boys talked him out of it! :D
Jungkook is one of those people who are born with immense talent. Even in his teens, he had a very stable voice without any training! Interestingly a lot of singers have always praised his sense of where and when to take a breath, making any song he sings sound more soulful and sentimental. P.S. Jungkook is a total daredevil and it was actually his idea to fly to be closer to Army. "No fear of heights" when JK went bungee jumping with the guys he was the most crazy one, started hanging upside down and laughing. At the end of his flight around the stadium he just hopped off the footrest and carried on. I think if it was me my legs would have buckled. That was my introduction to BTS. Was watching the World Cup and was stunned by his performance. Little did I know the very deep, thrilling, and time consuming rabbit hole I had just entered. The behind the scenes episode of that performance shows how skilled he is at understanding production as well. He got to Qatar and realized the quality of what had been prepared was seriously lacking and he spent a lot of time and effort to fix it and make the performance amazing.
Jungkook's vocal range is insane. One of his American producers describe him as a 'chameleon' he can do it all. He can adapt to any genre. He is just so talented and a vocal genius indeed! He is conquering the world rignt now as a solo artist.
Jungkook is also the main singer and is known to be good at nearly everything,hence called the Golden Maknae (youngest for Maknae). There are some Behind the scenes or a series made by an ARMY where he does push himself a little too much yet he’s grown into such a wonderful person and artist. For sure JK skills and talents are mind-blowing. For me it’s just difficult to understand how you could sing a note if you don’t know what you’re singing. I love your references to various musicals! Jungkook is the main vocalist and Jimin is the lead vocalist (in K-pop main is higher than lead). Jungkook has perfect vocal pitch. He had no formal singing or dancing lessons before joining Big Hit as a trainee at 13 years of age. He was taken to the US for less than a month’s dance training before debut. You can certainly have more than one bias, and you can also be OT7! Of course there are also bias wreckers! I cannot wait for you to see all 7 of them live on stage. It is the most incredible experience. I attended PTD LA (day 4) as my first BTS concert and I was blown away!
When I first started listening to BTS I thought...oh V's my favorite for sure... then I throught oh wait...Jimin has such a unique voice...I love his voice...he's my favorite. Oh wait...Jin! His range...his powerful silver voice. THEN I realized the all along Jungkook is singing so effortlessly and sprinkling his ad libs and harmonizing with the all the members...vocal line and rappers throughout their live concerts. He IS the main vocalist for a reason. I love all their voices but Jungkook voice just hits different for me. As far as rappers go...RM, Suga and JHope...they are all BADASS. I love all of their uniqueness BUT when you put alll 7 unique talented guys together...you get WOWed. Have fun on your BTS journey guys.

Fun fact, "Euphoria" was offerd to Justin Beiber first but he passed. Thank Goodness! Because when I think Jungkook, the first thing that comes to mind is THIS performance! He sings so well because he is ALWAYS practicing. In lots of ways, on a treadmill, he uses a straw technique, in the shower, all the time! And yep, he has perfect pitch! ARMY loves all seven, and we call ourselves OT7 for that. Of course most of us have biases, but it doesn't mean we love the others less. Like myself, I love different aspects of each members. My favorite are Jin's and V/Tae's voice overall. I admire the rapline with each of their rapping skills and lyricism. I am amazed at Jimin's high register and angelic voice. I love how Jungkook always evoke emotions in his singing with his sweet vocal. I admire all of their respective personalities and abilities. My ultimate bias are RM and V, but I wouldn't hesitate to say that the others wreck each other every other day or even hour that it's sometimes difficult to say which is my favorite. 😅

Daredevil JK, lol. I swear he's fearless. On their Run BTS episodes he's the only one that was excited to bungee jump and not scared, lol. I think he's the most well rounded vocally, he can and does sing everything. He usually does the vocals on guide tracks, and he's usually got a lot of harmonies and ad libs. Which isn't to diminish anyone else, Jimin has a gorgeous piercingly sweet top range, V is insanely smooth, Jin has the most incredible belt... JK is kind of a balance of all of it, possibly from literally growing from middle school into adulthood while in the group.

Uniting so many different and outstanding talents in one group is insane, and it is what makes BTS the best current group alive. Not only are they in the current music scene, they are becoming a legend. I think they will also have much more to sing, have their lyrics and offer in this chapter two. Jungkook, without a doubt, is the main vocalist due to his great talent and versatility, not only in dancing and stage presence (and here we are not talking about his overwhelming personality, which is irrelevant). Their vowels are unique in range and I am not an expert. He can rap, sing melodically and sweetly, make pop and hit those falsettos on high notes that reach the soul. He sings in a very pop style, but he can sing soul and R&B, and experiment in languages that he doesn't even master, giving soul and feeling to what he sings, he adapts to everything and his live covers of other singers sound almost the same as the original, this Only an exceptional artist can achieve it. One is born every one hundred and 100 years. Just imagine this video, it is not stopped on stage, it is literally in motion (imagine the force generated by the wind, the hair and the adrenaline generated), and it continues singing as if it were talking to a friend, and when the BTS choreographies are more energetic and demanding songs like ON, Fire, Blood Sweat & Tears or Run BTS continues singing as if nothing had happened. Although later he is short of breath behind the scenes and feels unwell. This artist gives everything on stage. Great reaction guys, I was waiting for this one of all the others. I love V's shade too, I'm having a hard time deciding on one from BTS (they've been a fabulous find) so I ended up with two too. TAEKOOK just like you, if I had to decide, although I love all seven. In the rap line, Suga without hesitation. It was a pleasure to see him rap in English with Halsey. But in Korean it's like a machine gun, you think he can't sing and then you see "Life goes on" . I love this song because it holds a special place in my heart because this was the song that saved my life in 2018 so I owe Jk my life I lost my dad in April of 2018 and in September I felt at my real lowest and I didn’t want to carry on ( I am disabled and I take 21 tablets daily plus morphine) i doubled my dose but before I wanted to go I heard music coming from my daughters room so I asked who was she listening to so she explained and I loved the song straight away I thought I can’t do this I went away looked up the lyrics in English and I thought wow So thanks to Jk and the song Euphoria I am here today Thank you for saving my life Jk

I was eagerly waiting for this one. 'Euphoria' is definitely one of his best songs but please check out 'Stay alive' and '3D' as well, both of them are of completely different vibes. Moreover Euphoria came out in 2018 while Stay Alive(2022) is relatively new and 3D is his latest release, so you can see how good of a vocalist he currently is. Please do consider checking them out. I love how you pulled out a chart to explain 7 dimensions of singing! I know nothing technical about vocals but this analysis is amazing to see. You know who I want to watch your video? That would be Jungkook himself. I want him to know how good he is, he’s repeatedly said that he wants to improve more as a singer and although he considers himself a good artist at this point in time, he said in a recent interview (in SUGA’s show) that he still thinks he’s lacking, and wishes for a time in the future when he can be fully proud of himself. Honestly, although it doesn't have music video or live performance, Louder Than Bombs is such a unique and dark song from the group and it's definitely one of my favs, I'd think you'd enjoy it a lot.

I find it interesting how many musical influences there are in BTS songs across all of their albums and how very different characters come together. I like the answer with the 7 people 😊 I like all of them, but JK is my bias because of his versatility and his many talents - he is the main vocslist but also in the dance line and even rapped in old BTS songs - because of his warm voice tone, his vocal abilities and his strong, artistic character. Suga is probably my favorite member out of the rapline. I hope you can also react to “Still With You“ by Jungkook. He released it as a gift for his fans and is co-writer and co-producer. It’s just a lyric video without MV but he also sang it acapella on one of his livestream without any gimmicks and in a live concert (his GMA live performance and a BTS concert). I look forward to your analysis every Saturday! It’s so interesting to listen to experts point out things about singing while enjoying my favorite group pull you down the rabbit hole! I don’t know if there is a poll, but “Magic Shop” live in Japan is a good group song to hear. All 4 vocalists have a spotlight moment that is very impressive and the rappers each have a set of bars that showcase their strengths. Plus, you get to see some “crowd work” that will blow your mind! You have not seen ARMY and BTS do their thing together yet… As for Korean, I think as vocal coaches you would find the spoken language fascinating. English relies primarily on the parts of the mouth for pronunciation - we incorporate teeth, lips and tongue placements to produce various sounds. Not so much with Korean. They do not even have the letters V, F, or Z or sounds associated with them. Instead, the bulk of sound differences are produced with breath control and changing the shape of the entire mouth as sound is moved out. In other words, the language requires the kind of skills that a singer thinks about all the time. For example, there is the letter 어. For this vowel you make the shape of saying “ah” with your mouth while saying “oh” with your vocal cords - to produce a sound we do not really have in our vowel set.
Jungkook has a perfect pitch and has a stable vocal, he is one of the main vocalist.You'll see him run and jump in performances and not lose breath and keep the singing at the right pitch and tone. His got other great solo songs too that you will love to listen and react to like Stay Alive, Still With You. You may also want to listen to unit songs of the 4 vocal lines (Jungkook, Jimin, Jin, V), they have sung great vocals like The Truth Untold, House of Cards, Dimple. Even in their group songs like Butterfly, Wings, Magic Shop, etc.. their vocals stand out, I think even if you pick songs randomly from their discography you will be able to appreciate them a lot.

BTS albums have solo songs from the members on them...still credited to BTS (not the individual member). They do perform them when BTS is touring. This was very hard to wrap my head around as a 45 year old American. All solo work I had ever encountered was always totally separate from the group's work. Other examples of this would be 'Moon' by Jin, 'Filter' by Jimin, 'Persona' by RM. All on BTS albums and credited to BTS, but sung just by one member. Edited to add that this changed in 'Chapter 2', as they had to begin their military service and focus on the solo projects. They ARE now performing as individuals (j-hope at Lollapoalozza, SUGA did a tour, etc) Really excited for the Taylor Guide and then more BTS!

Euphoria is actually a BTS song, a Jungkook solo on a BTS album, at a BTS concert back in 2019. The SUGA and V songs you did are actually solo production songs from their current solo endeavors (separate from BTS). Jin's Epiphany is also a BTS song. SUGA is the only member who has done a solo tour. JungKook is about to release his solo album.

Yes, I always thought it was SUCH a stroke of luck that they picked HIM out of all the trainees, when they could only afford to send ONE. But that manager was absolutely correct when he picked the one with most potential/most to gain from the trip! :D
And after a month going around to the various studios and learning new things he wanted to drop singing and focus solely on dance - but the other boys talked him out of it! :D
Jungkook is one of those people who are born with immense talent. Even in his teens, he had a very stable voice without any training! Interestingly a lot of singers have always praised his sense of where and when to take a breath, making any song he sings sound more soulful and sentimental.
P.S. Jungkook is a total daredevil and it was actually his idea to fly to be closer to Army. Everyone was stunned that he could sing effortlessly with just a safety belt being tied and standing on a teeny pedestal

"No fear of heights" when JK went bungee jumping with the guys he was the most crazy one, started hanging upside down and laughing. At the end of his flight around the stadium he just hopped off the footrest and carried on. I think if it was me my legs would have buckled.

That was my introduction to BTS. Was watching the World Cup and was stunned by his performance. Little did I know the very deep, thrilling, and time consuming rabbit hole I had just entered. The behind the scenes episode of that performance shows how skilled he is at understanding production as well. He got to Qatar and realized the quality of what had been prepared was seriously lacking and he spent a lot of time and effort to fix it and make the performance amazing.
I loved the Behind of that, it really showed us Jungkook the performer in a lot of detail. 💜

Jungkook's vocal range is insane. One of his American producers describe him as a 'chameleon' he can do it all. He can adapt to any genre. He is just so talented and a vocal genius indeed! He is conquering the world rignt now as a solo artist.
Jungkook is also the main singer and is known to be good at nearly everything,hence called the Golden Maknae (youngest for Maknae). There are some Behind the scenes or a series made by an ARMY where he does push himself a little too much yet he’s grown into such a wonderful person and artist. He had no formal singing or dancing lessons before joining Big Hit as a trainee at 13 years of age. He was taken to the US for less than a month’s dance training before debut. When I first started listening to BTS I thought...oh V's my favorite for sure... then I throught oh wait...Jimin has such a unique voice...I love his voice...he's my favorite. Oh wait...Jin! His range...his powerful silver voice. THEN I realized the all along Jungkook is singing so effortlessly and sprinkling his ad libs and harmonizing with the all the members...vocal line and rappers throughout their live concerts. He IS the main vocalist for a reason. I love all their voices but Jungkook voice just hits different for me. As far as rappers go...RM, Suga and JHope...they are all BADASS. I love all of their uniqueness BUT when you put alll 7 unique talented guys together...you get WOWed. Have fun on your BTS journey guys.

ARMY loves all seven, and we call ourselves OT7 for that. Of course most of us have biases, but it doesn't mean we love the others less. Like myself, I love different aspects of each members. My favorite are Jin's and V/Tae's voice overall. I admire the rapline with each of their rapping skills and lyricism. I am amazed at Jimin's high register and angelic voice. I love how Jungkook always evoke emotions in his singing with his sweet vocal. I admire all of their respective personalities and abilities. My ultimate bias are RM and V, but I wouldn't hesitate to say that the others wreck each other every other day or even hour that it's sometimes difficult to say which is my favorite. 😅

Daredevil JK, lol. I swear he's fearless. On their Run BTS episodes he's the only one that was excited to bungee jump and not scared, lol. I think he's the most well rounded vocally, he can and does sing everything. He usually does the vocals on guide tracks, and he's usually got a lot of harmonies and ad libs. Which isn't to diminish anyone else, Jimin has a gorgeous piercingly sweet top range, V is insanely smooth, Jin has the most incredible belt... JK is kind of a balance of all of it, possibly from literally growing from middle school into adulthood while in the group.

Jungkook, without a doubt, is the main vocalist due to his great talent and versatility, not only in dancing and stage presence (and here we are not talking about his overwhelming personality, which is irrelevant). Their vowels are unique in range and I am not an expert. He can rap, sing melodically and sweetly, make pop and hit those falsettos on high notes that reach the soul.
He sings in a very pop style, but he can sing soul and R&B, and experiment in languages that he doesn't even master, giving soul and feeling to what he sings, he adapts to everything and his live covers of other singers sound almost the same as the original, this Only an exceptional artist can achieve it.
One is born every one hundred and 100 years.
Just imagine this video, it is not stopped on stage, it is literally in motion (imagine the force generated by the wind, the hair and the adrenaline generated), and it continues singing as if it were talking to a friend, and when the BTS choreographies are more energetic and demanding songs like ON, Fire, Blood Sweat & Tears or Run BTS continues singing as if nothing had happened. Although later he is short of breath behind the scenes and feels unwell.

I lost my dad in April of 2018 and in September I felt at my real lowest and I didn’t want to carry on ( I am disabled and I take 21 tablets daily plus morphine) i doubled my dose

Moreover Euphoria came out in 2018 while Stay Alive(2022) is relatively new and 3D is his latest release, so you can see how good of a vocalist he currently is. Please do consider checking them out. I love how you pulled out a chart to explain 7 dimensions of singing! I know nothing technical about vocals but this analysis is amazing to see. You know who I want to watch your video? That would be Jungkook himself. I want him to know how good he is, he’s repeatedly said that he wants to improve more as a singer and although he considers himself a good artist at this point in time, he said in a recent interview (in SUGA’s show) that he still thinks he’s lacking, and wishes for a time in the future when he can be fully proud of himself.

14:00 That is very interesting. I'm a metal head, but I also dance to Hip Hop and RnB and also listen to other genres and legends like MJ and Queens. I find it interesting how many musical influences there are in BTS songs across all of their albums and how very different characters come together. I like the answer with the 7 people 😊 I like all of them, but JK is my bias because of his versatility and his many talents - he is the main vocslist but also in the dance line and even rapped in old BTS songs - because of his warm voice tone, his vocal abilities and his strong, artistic character. Suga is probably my favorite member out of the rapline.
I hope you can also react to “Still With You“ by Jungkook. He released it as a gift for his fans and is co-writer and co-producer. It’s just a lyric video without MV but he also sang it acapella on one of his livestream without any gimmicks and in a live concert (his GMA live performance and a BTS concert). I don’t know if there is a poll, but “Magic Shop” live in Japan is a good group song to hear. All 4 vocalists have a spotlight moment that is very impressive and the rappers each have a set of bars that showcase their strengths. Plus, you get to see some “crowd work” that will blow your mind! You have not seen ARMY and BTS do their thing together yet…
As for Korean, I think as vocal coaches you would find the spoken language fascinating.
English relies primarily on the parts of the mouth for pronunciation - we incorporate teeth, lips and tongue placements to produce various sounds.
Not so much with Korean. They do not even have the letters V, F, or Z or sounds associated with them. Instead, the bulk of sound differences are produced with breath control and changing the shape of the entire mouth as sound is moved out. In other words, the language requires the kind of skills that a singer thinks about all the time.
For example, there is the letter 어. For this vowel you make the shape of saying “ah” with your mouth while saying “oh” with your vocal cords - to produce a sound we do not really have in our vowel set.

Jungkook has a perfect pitch and has a stable vocal, he is one of the main vocalist.You'll see him run and jump in performances and not lose breath and keep the singing at the right pitch and tone. His got other great solo songs too that you will love to listen and react to like Stay Alive, Still With You. You may also want to listen to unit songs of the 4 vocal lines (Jungkook, Jimin, Jin, V), they have sung great vocals like The Truth Untold, House of Cards, Dimple. Even in their group songs like Butterfly, Wings, Magic Shop, etc.. their vocals stand out, I think even if you pick songs randomly from their discography you will be able to appreciate them a lot.

Just the one song, really!? Nooo! Still loved your reaction; thank you! JK is so very, very talented! This was shot at a BTS concert, where all 7 members performed. BTS albums have solo songs from the members on them...still credited to BTS (not the individual member). They do perform them when BTS is touring. This was very hard to wrap my head around as a 45 year old American. All solo work I had ever encountered was always totally separate from the group's work. Other examples of this would be 'Moon' by Jin, 'Filter' by Jimin, 'Persona' by RM. All on BTS albums and credited to BTS, but sung just by one member. Edited to add that this changed in 'Chapter 2', as they had to begin their military service and focus on the solo projects. They ARE now performing as individuals (j-hope at Lollapoalozza, SUGA did a tour, etc) Really excited for the Taylor Guide and then more BTS!
You guys should check Seven, 3D (the latest solo songs of jungkook) they are all English songs. Besides this you can check still with you and My time, his korean songs, they all are so good. What i love about him is he is trying so many genres and nailing all of them.

Euphoria is actually a BTS song, a Jungkook solo on a BTS album, at a BTS concert back in 2019. The SUGA and V songs you did are actually solo production songs from their current solo endeavors (separate from BTS). Jin's Epiphany is also a BTS song. SUGA is the only member who has done a solo tour. JungKook is about to release his solo album.
