Looking back over the iPad, I can not see any forms of physical damage. The case fits really tight but it didn't damage anything by dents or scratches. I was impressed actually.

Removing the case worked for me. The case seems to be too thick to recognize the pen but I also reset the ipad. Thanks for your video.

The only issue you might have is keeping the dust off the inside of the screen protector. Otherwise it re-intalls just fine.
