- This one-off concert took place on Thursday 24th September 1998 in a barn in Roger's garden in Surrey. It was streamed live on the internet for fans worldwide to see and hear Roger performing ten songs to promote the new 'Electric Fire' album.
Roger and his new band played to an audience of friends, family and invited guests - including Virgin radio. DJ Russ Williams introduced the band.
After the gig Roger was presented with a certificate from the Guinness Book Of Records, as this performance drew the largest audience ever for an internet gig; 595,000 worldwide hits.
This is a complete remastered version of the entire show, and is exclusive to this channel.

Both Roger Taylor and Brian May are spectacular musicians and singers as they have both proven on their solo projects. This is a great concert by Roger.

I was there. Right at the front. Had an amazing time and the best steaks I'd ever had just before the concert. I was working on a music website at the time and was very kindly invited to come along.
There were lots of music legends there but I was only a newbie to the music scene so spent a nice evening chatting with the bar staff and a couple of Freddie's friends.
Roger couldn't half belt the tunes out. It felt like a special night in his barn. Was great to be part of it.

Hi, do you still have the original ticket or invitation and would you sell it? I collect all tickets, flyers and programmes from Roger's concerts so I'm very curious about this one :-)
I was there too, I won the comp on Virgin Radio, I had a nice chat with Mike Rutherford and Chris Evans kept on giving me beer. A great Night a bit of a hangover the next day though.
I never wanted to like anybody that was trying to take the place of "Freddie Mercury" and the songs that made the band famous. No one will ever replace Freddie but I think Roger does a marvelous job entertaining. His voice is amazing, it has a kind of sexy raspy quality to it and he has gotten better looking as he's aged. A very sexy man with a great voice. I'm sure performing with Freddie (with his strong voice ) Roger probably never got much credit for his part other then his drumming. I have to admit he's got a great voice and a sexy look. Freddie would be very proud of you! Thank you for sharing!

I'm a great Queen fan, but being honest, Roger is NOT the best drummer in rock, not even close. You're forgetting guys like Phil Collins, Bill Ward or John Bonham just to name a couple of drummers (and composer) from the same rock era.
Gabriel Guzman Bonham I'll give you. Neil Peart will also wipe the floor with everyone. But for distinctiveness and originality, Rog is up there in my opinion.

Roger is a marvelous vocalist. Sang backin Freddie Mercury on many a Queen track. His drumming and singing is a great backbone and lead to this great band. He could carry Queen into the future!! God bless him.

I'm late to the party. Always liked Queen but didn't really get into each one individually. Until now. Bought Roger's albums. Listen to them every day. Especially great when I'm driving. Hard to keep up with him. As one get's older one loses her vocal abilities (talking about me). But I still love to sing along with him.

Hey Carlos.....you ever hear any of Roger's solo material or songs from his other band called The Cross?? If not u should look it all up. You'd be pleasantly surprised at all the excellent music he did away from Queen. He really is an awesome singer & songwriter. NOTE: some of the songs he did with The Cross were co-written with his bandmates.
