Thank you for sharing this! Can you also share the materials you used to make the hunny sign? Also, you mentioned 2 gel colors, lemon yellow and egg yellow, should we pick one of these 2 colors for the icing on the cake or you mixed both? I am a beginner but would like to make this cake for my son’s first Winnie the Pooh bday. ☺️
Hi! So excited to try this cake and have 2 questions. Is the foam board on the top? and then you just lift it off to serve it? When did you move the cake to the cake board? I see that you have it on wax paper on the lazy susan after you flipped it over but not sure what the best way is to move it to the cake board. hope that makes sense! thanks!
Hi! I didn’t even realized I never showed the flipping of the cake back over like I normally do - so sorry about that! Right when the scene flips at about 2:41, I placed a large cake board over the top (which was actually the bottom) over that cake round and then flipped it back right side up, peeled off the wax paper and piped that ring around the top. I hope that makes sense! If you watch pretty much any of my other cakes you’ll see this method - I always use it and this cake was no different, just a weird shape! I hope that helps! 💕
Hi! Just wondering how tall these cakes are? Wondering if I need to get 2 5in pans or if a 5x4 in tall could be cut in half and be tall enough? I noticed you cutting a cake in half perhaps but couldn’t tell! Making for a smash cake for pictures this week! I would greatly appreciate any help! Thank you :)
@@cassiesconfections2287 perfect so the 5 in cakes are about 2 in tall then? And the full cake is probably a little over 6 in with icing and whatnot? Thank you so much! I appreciate you!!
Hello, just found your channel and i am loving it! Excellent job!!!! For the cake boards you use when frosting what thickness are they? Also i notoced they're always just so slightly bigger then the cakes you frost alowing some room for the buttercream you add. Are they the same size as the cakes you bake? Thank you,
@@jessicaredd1052 yes, that should totally work! It might be a little harder to work with being so small, but you could always stick a dowel down through it to hold on to while you carve and ice. Been there, done that!
This was the cake I made for my son's 2nd birthday back in Feb! It was yummy and very cute :) thank you for sharing 😊
I’m so glad to hear that! Thank you for your sweet comment! 😊

Que bonito que usaste para pintar abejita es colorante ?
May I ask what size cakes you used for this cake?
Do you recommend making the bees ahead of time or day of? Also the Hunny sign? Thanks!!
Do you mind sharing your icing recipe?
How many people would you say this cake would feed? Also would you suggest doing a 4" 5" and 4" for a smash cake?
What size pans did you use
Did you handwrite the hunny stencil or printed it online. Would love the written to do the same as you
I actually printed the “Hunny” from an image online and traced it with my Dresden tool over the fondant. Hope this helps!

Hi! I always cut my cake layers to 1.5” - 2” tall, no matter how tall or a pan I bake them in. Hope that helps!

Hi Daisy! They are 1/8” thick and I do cut them about 1/8 bigger than the size of my cake to allow for frosting. 😊
@@cassiesconfections2287 Thank you!!And thanks for the videos too, very helpful for a newbie home baker!
@@daisyquinones9245 you’re so welcome and I’m sorry it took me SO long to reply! 🙈
