2 Words: Stealth Mode I got an SS with the NPP quad exhaust setup and I think that my neighbors share a similar sentiment with yours regarding its noise in the early am. I try an compromise with them throughout the week by not firing up the engine between the hours of 11pm-6am, and leaving the exhaust setting on stealth. During a cold start, it doesn't do much for the actual volume of the exhaust, as its still relatively loud, but it does attenuate the "growl" and "throatiness" so that the baseline note isn't as deep. I think this is what actually awakens and annoys sleeping neighbors most. On the weekends though, I tell myself "the hell with it", I compromised for you guys during the week, so now its your turn to compromise with me for the weekend; I paid good money for this cold start and there's no way around it so you guys are going to hear. 😆 I am sorry but there's no better sound in this world than a cold started V8. I burn through so much gas just trying to hear the symphony that is the LT1 at 3200rpms. That sound can become addicting very quickly; I can only imagine what its like on the ZL1.
@@dougedoug2105 totally different sound even on the stealth setting Doug. The ZL1 has also another 200hp and the sound of the supercharger screaming is worth the price of admission.
I have actually reviewed a Hellcat Charger, and the owner was the same person who owns this one! Not into shooting 2 cars at once though, don't want to get into street racing territory.
That shifts much faster than my Corvette. The other day I shifted from 2nd to 3rd and had time to mow my yard in between shifts. Works great though when you want to use the paddle shifters, drive fast and fold laundry all at the same time. It's awesome watching you do this video. You're totally enjoying every minute of it! Good job, Dutch!

Man, I remember watching this guy a few years ago review a 2014 Mustang GT that I was wishing&woundering how I could afford it... fast forward a few years and blessings later I can't decide if I should get the ZL1 or Hellcat! The things God does when you praise him is AMAZING!
I am glad you are doing well and wish you more success in the future! The choice is an easy one. Single? Get the Camaro. Family? Hellcat. You can sit in the back of a Challenger as an adult, and they naturally also have the Charger version if you are so inclined!

Woa what part of Texas are you from? I live within between Houston and Galveston! This here Looks like Houston to me! My half brother got a 2018 Dodge Demon if you wanna test it. Loaded so good that You'll really love it man. Even better and faster than the Stock supercharged Demon, But I like the Camaro Zl1 as one of my daily driver favorites in muscles cars, it's performance but yeah I like it alot better than the Z28 they made for one year or two. The Z28 is fast and badass but ZL1 is the true king and still the legend of fastest Camaro types. Great reaction too by the way it gives me a detailed idea how good your testing vehicle is.
I am based out of the DFW area unfortunately. I have missed out on some pretty epic stuff out of the Houston area. My RUclips channel is at the hobby level and thus it does not allow me to go beyond the DFW area. So many plans for travel if it ever gets truly off the ground though!

I thought the smaller pulley was ditched by Chevy due to the overheating problem seen in the Z06, no? I guess maybe the front grill allows in more air than the vette so it isn't an issue?
The pulley size is the same ie same boost. For 2017 the LT4s coolers in the supercharger were improved. This combined with the larger inlets of the ZL1 allow for better cooling. The 2017 corvette also has the updated engine.

I prefer the manual. Apparently Chevy does too or else the 1LE package would've came with an automatic as an option as well. But it only comes in a manual. Either way, the ZL1 is by far my favorite Camaro hands down!

Really wanted the V6 LE Camaro but at 6'2"I could not see out of the thing. Also coming from Japanese sports cars, the American cars sightlines I just couldn't handle. Drives great straight though
Lol @ thinking you're too big at 6' 2". People can drive C7 Corvettes comfortably at up to 6' 4". And people can drive G6 Camaros comfortably up to 6' 8". I know many people on Camaro6 that are much bigger than you and drive them no issue. Not being able to see out of it is a massive excuse. With blind spot monitoring, mirrors, and a right pedal, these G6 Camaros are just as easy to drive around town as any sedan/SUV that most of us drive. Compared to my Duramax pickup, the blind spots are nothing. I have a 2018 ZL1 and my 6' 4" brother drives/rides in it no problem. Very comfortable car. And a Alpha Platform G6 Camaro will out handle almost everything under $200,000. A SS 1LE will run with fucking top line Porsches around Willow Springs/Laguna Seca, etc. Just look at the reviews. Straight line isn't even their strong suit anymore. Also coming from American cars, the Japanese cars sightlines I just couldn't handle.
This is the same car that Bumblebee drives in the Transformers movie, AwEsOmE ! This is one of those cars that if you have a girlfriend and your driving around with her, let's say she starts yapping and won't shut up, all you have to do is hammer that accelerator.. and she will nicely shut up.

Benzine goedkoper, auto's goedkoper, huizen goedkoper (maar die zijn ook knake gebouwd). De supermarkt is wel duurder, flink duurder. Soms loop ik met 100 dollar weg en denk: Hoe kan dat nou, in Nederland zat mijn kar toch echt wel helemaal vol voor 100 euro.

I did, about a year and a half ago. Then someone let me drive and review their GTR and it changed my mindset. I do this purely as a hobby now, and as such I do not stick to any upload frequency or upload schedules. It has been great.
I am fully aware there is only a single cam in those pushrod motors. So many people keep saying cams around me goofs like that tend to happen from time to time. Sure you know what I meant though. It isn't a stock CAM in that car.
The Dutch Texan Different tastes in audio tones haha... I love a good set of Longtube headers, X-pipe or true duals, 3 in. Pipe dumped at the axle or at the rear bumper. (Catless) Full racecar mode 24/7 for a car like this in my opinion. P.S. I love your channel and video editing! Keep up the good work!

When u got on the throttle I can hear the more aggressive engine and exhaust sound of the ZL1! But like the stock Camaros, Chargers and Challengers. The whine of the supercharger is a turn off! The Corvettes, now are the meanest, angry, robust sounding sports car now! Especially the sting ray!!!
when he said you can get it in a manual but why would you. he Is bugging because he thanks he's having fun now wait till he drives a manual it's funnier and more engaging in the car and what real men drive
Oh, a manual sure has a place in my heart. But when power goes up not having to think about a shift makes a huge difference in keeping the car on the road.

The owner put it on, nothing Chevy can do to stop tuning after it leaves their factories.

Compared to my Duramax pickup, the blind spots are nothing. I have a 2018 ZL1 and my 6' 4" brother drives/rides in it no problem. Very comfortable car. And a Alpha Platform G6 Camaro will out handle almost everything under $200,000. A SS 1LE will run with fucking top line Porsches around Willow Springs/Laguna Seca, etc. Just look at the reviews. Straight line isn't even their strong suit anymore.
Also coming from American cars, the Japanese cars sightlines I just couldn't handle.

I’d get that checked out.
Its stays in a sort of limp mode for the first 500 miles i believe. The ecu may have malfunctioned and never gotten out of that “break in” mode

This is one of those cars that if you have a girlfriend and your driving around with her, let's say she starts yapping and won't shut up, all you have to do is hammer that accelerator.. and she will nicely shut up.

@@TheDutchTexan BPM en BTW zijn sowieso een volwaardige reden om die lekker op de Lone Star State te laten liggen. Maar één of twee RUclips video's hebben aangegeven dat door de vorm van de voorbumper (spoiler) deze is dan niet toegestaan in Europa.

Als een auto fanaat is het natuurlijk geweldig. Maar je moet je familie alleen erg missen. En dat is gewoon vervelend soms. Benzine goedkoper, auto's goedkoper, huizen goedkoper (maar die zijn ook knake gebouwd). De supermarkt is wel duurder, flink duurder. Soms loop ik met 100 dollar weg en denk: Hoe kan dat nou, in Nederland zat mijn kar toch echt wel helemaal vol voor 100 euro.

I did, about a year and a half ago. Then someone let me drive and review their GTR and it changed my mindset. I do this purely as a hobby now, and as such I do not stick to any upload frequency or upload schedules. It has been great.

I am fully aware there is only a single cam in those pushrod motors. So many people keep saying cams around me goofs like that tend to happen from time to time. Sure you know what I meant though. It isn't a stock CAM in that car.

The Dutch Texan Different tastes in audio tones haha... I love a good set of Longtube headers, X-pipe or true duals, 3 in. Pipe dumped at the axle or at the rear bumper. (Catless) Full racecar mode 24/7 for a car like this in my opinion.

When u got on the throttle I can hear the more aggressive engine and exhaust sound of the ZL1! But like the stock Camaros, Chargers and Challengers. The whine of the supercharger is a turn off! The Corvettes, now are the meanest, angry, robust sounding sports car now! Especially the sting ray!!!
I enjoy the sound of the superchargers myself! But there is something to be said about a pure naturally aspirated engine!

Oh, a manual sure has a place in my heart. But when power goes up not having to think about a shift makes a huge difference in keeping the car on the road.
Saying a mustang is slow lol. You are driving the ZL1 you need to compare it to the GT500.
I compare it to the boosted ‘15 one I drove previously. Never had a go in a GT500 so I can’t compare this ZL1 to it. That would be silly.
