yeah, but it's best to work your way up to it, year by year. Get familiar with the guys and their music. This would be a good time to watch In the Soop season one, and songs from the next album. At least, for me, that's how I did it to keep from getting confused. I had a couple really ARMY's guide me through much of it. I strongly suggest you lay off the compilations as they are almost coming from soop, bonvoyage, and documentaries. like you are ready for Red Bullet tour, their first tour. and maybe the movie Burn the Stage, and doc from same .
the mama's and MMA awards shows are amazing and once BTS started having time slots, well, forget the grammys. They are really lame and boring for the most part.

Boy meets evil, showed that Park Jimin is indeed a legend when it comes to dance and it's form. His smooth 360 degree mid air turn was incredible and beautiful beyond description, sadly it is often missed by people watching! The classic 3:3:3 viral moment when he danced during Fire, 🔥 🔥 🔥was so, hot, hot hot hot. His voice is just absolutely magnificent.
The ARMY joke is that BTS turns all the award shows into concerts. But honestly the asian award shows blow ones like the Grammy's (Shammy's) out of the water with how they do them. Understand that this awards show was only in 2016. BTS STILL was not getting a lot of respect in the asian music industry ... so YES... they brought it hard. They STILL do because there are still forces against them because they are not controlled by the big 3 music labels in Korea or the western music industry. Did you know that once BTS started becoming popular with the fans at the awards shows... that one of the award shows tried to ban the use of light bombs because it would show how much more BTS was loved than the others. BUT (and I really need to find the clip).... as BTS is performing one of the guys (I think V?) tells the crowd to bring them out because they know ARMY has smuggled them in anyway... and they DO! It was savage and so COOL!

You're right. It was MAMA that banned the lightsticks after 2018 BTS performance. Then in 2019, it was TaeTae who told the fans to bring out the bombs and even though there were already lightsticks out, the stadium lit up. Hilarious.

@@CheyKookie My other most fave moment is when BTS attended their first Billboard award show. People thought they were famous, then BTS was mentioned and the sound went INSANE. No one was prepared for the bolts to shake loose.
Even the most famous were impressed with the number of bodyguards, and the reactions of the audience when the men appeared to take their seats.

This was the first daesang (Best Album) in Korea's one of 3 big award shows (MAMA, MMA, The Fact Awards). This was the award, where Suga cries, he doesn't cry often but they had been watching this award show several years previous and Suga told RM do you think we will every get that award. A few years later that was their first award. They were that hungry that year but they continue to dance that hungry until they went on break. But each year at the award shows they throw mini concerts and it is worth watching them all at least the MAMAs and the MMAs until 2021.

Yes their concerts are this hyped, but this is an award show. All their MMA and MAMA performances are insanely good. As other's have mentioned, MMA 2019 is the ultimate....they were given 37 minutes of performance time. When they come to the US they are allowed to perform a shortened version of 1 song (although they are teased as "coming up next" all night to get ARMY to watch). Asian award shows put ours in the west to shame. As someone who suffered from coldsores for years, I feel your pain. 25K is right around the corner...congrats.

The dance break at 3 minutes 33secs during Fire gave birth to the “333 GUY”, when Jimin dominated that part with his movements and strong expression, making it the KILLING PART.

I don't normally comment, It's awkward, and usually, I just watch in silence. But I needed to come on here and thank you for not being afraid and wearing the mask. I hate the stigma that's with them now! As an immunocompromised chemo patient, I've had to wear them daily for over 5 years. But after the pandemic, they somehow became a political thing. Nobody cared about them back then. However, now, I actually get harassed wearing them. It's gotten scary, but I have no choice. The smallest dust, dander, bacteria, germ, or anything really can cause me to get an infection. When you think about how the media really did snub them to start with, how they often had performances on shows cut, if they even got to appear in first place...and here in 2016, only 3 years post debut, they are exploding. They won their first Daesang at the MMA's this same year - and then at these awards, they won another for artist of the year. I often wonder what those photographers who snubbed then in 2013, 2014.....what they thought in 2016.

Jimin's performance in Boy Meets Evil pt. 1 is extraordinary - dancers will tell you, even if that blind fold is somewhat sheer, you perception of depth and position can be grossly altered - that he jumps and spins etc and lands smack bang facing the crowd is truly a testament to how intrinsic dancing is in him - it's totally internal - he was born to dance.

this is just an awards show. the orange box behind you (PTD) is an actual concert.
Keep in mind that this is not a BTS concert but an awards show and that the audience isn't just ARMYS, it's filled with other idols. "Is this what their shows are like?" Yes and no. Yes their shows are epic, like this, but they've also had big ass inflatables that they played on as they performed and had water fights on stage. They are never complacent or lackluster when performing. Dude seriously, can't remember if you have or not (if you did I missed it) but you need to watch MMA 2019, the definition of epic.

Yeah. Have been to two BTS concerts. Can attest. Their Concerts are like this, but longer. I am 52 and been to a lot of concerts. BTS were the best. Like the difference is watching people perform and feeling like you are a part of the performance

I dont know if you have the DIsney streaming service but if you do last time i checked the Busan Concert that the boys performed for free was still available to view on there. Obviously you cant react to it but its amazing to watch. Also the D-day concert of Suga's is there also.
