I so wish Bernie was 40 years old and running for President. I've lived a long and pleasant life, for the most part, and I've never met anyone, especially a politician, who was as honest and generous as he. We look at him as an old curmudgeon, a little too grouchy. We tend to shrug him off instead of listening to the only wholy sane member of Congress. I can almost take comfort in believeing we get what we ask for.

I look at him as a shining example of what a politician could and should be. The length and depth of what he has done from age 40 to now is breathtaking. Whatever age he happens to be, not listening and responding to his genuine compassion and determination and track record is a huge shame for the people he could be leading.

If only he could have been president, but the powers that be in the democratic party didn't let that happen. He is usually spot on and the most honest candidate for president that we have had for many years. I wish he would run again.
