Do we have to have this conversation every time there’s a book/cartoon adaptation? Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, comic books, anime, video games, etc. We know that it will not have every detail, character, plot point in the adaptation. The only thing that matters is that it’s good on its own. And this show was great on its own. Can’t wait for season 2.
Its about establishing the emotional aspect and the chemistry. The series was good as a whole but the chemistry was hollow. That is what i felt bad about.
... Have you considered that some people just like seeing two adaptations of the same scene side by side? That's literally what brought me to this video.
The whole point of a live action adaptation is to tell the story in its own way and not to make a carbon copy of the anime or the manga. The live action is not terrible. If you want the anime style of storytelling, you can skip it. But don’t shit on it just because you like the anime better.
There's no major artery on that side of your shoulder which is why it's less bloody. Its very realistic as I once had a similar injury, a very deep cut which didn't bleed as much but looked gnarly.
I appreciate the new series, I'm happy it makes One Piece more popular...but I just can't bring myself to enjoy it. I still think it doesn't make a lick of justice to the original
Right is better than left ... I'm sorry about that, but I think the anime is better than the live action, the live version is missing a lot of scenes from the anime and that over all 8 episodes.
of course, what the fuck did you expect, them to replicate 45+ episodes of anime 1:1 in 8 ? Wake up dude, that's an impossible task so complaining about the LA being different is ignorant.
That's why it's called a live-action adaptation. They're not going to make it exactly the same, because hell, what would be the point in that? I think they executed this scene really good, and ofcourse the anime tops it. Nothing is better than the original, but I do think that they did really well
If they copy the anime scene-per-scene, then the new viewers won't be interested in watching the anime anymore because they won't be missing out on anything. Think of it as a teaser so they can bring One Piece to more people.
The netflix adaptation perfectly captures the balance between the sub and dub versions, and get the details down to the camera angles
Honestly, I got chills watching this scene, what a great performance!

I think the point this time was how well it actually did capture the original, despite the tiny differences.

@@mystic_joyIt ain't hollow, y'all fake-ass fans just like to nitpick.
one of the only things i missed in the LA was the part of this scene with the 4 guys doing their tough walk up on Arlong's hq
It's an anime-only thing, it did not happen in the manga aka the source material :)
Netflix did it great/ epic moment and music hit the show
One of my favourite scenes in One Piece. Luffy is a great friend to Nami. 😁😁😁
She did an amazing job in the Netflix adaptation
Manga is LEGENDARY
One day I will have the courage and income to pick the manga
@@chapdoesstuffyou can read it online
@@chapdoesstuffwhy not just pirate it..its literally just pieces of pictures on the internet
Ok I cried

With this i can enjoy One with my parents and my girlfriend. They all dont like anime.
She stabbed herself like 4 times and only have 2 little drips of blood
well IMO its because they rated 14+ it cant be more blodied than that beside zoro scar
@@foureyeskingZoro’s introduction was literally him slicing a person into pieces with all the flesh seen, i mean 14+? i don’t think so😂
@@axel7940 dont know man its just my opinion. maybe the VFX person forget to add blood 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

They have a rating to maintain. Too much blood will raise the rating to R.
why use the dub version of the anime tho?
Why Not?
Because the dub is trash @@the_gratefulgamer
