    I’m glad Mama got involved in the pruning-the maple tree branches look like a work of art now! I love how the pruning made their beauty stand out.

      @@written2382 this one didn't look it, but this was tricky! Lots of thin branches and it made the ramification work tough.

    Great video! I see a lot of Japanese maples around me especially the weeping or lace leaf one's that could use this type of pruning. I've done a couple myself and it can get overwhelming! Nice job dudes 👍

      @@BuffaloBonsai it absolutely does get overwhelming sometimes. There have been trees where there were so many branches that we start to get crosseyed. But we push thru because the end result is always so beautiful.

    My landscaper pruned my Japanese Maple into a mushroom😢. I’m going to try and learn from you this year.
    Would you mind telling me if it is a good time to prune late Winter, early Spring?
    Thank you!

    • @AsiaPacificGarden
      @AsiaPacificGarden  22 дня назад +1

      @@ruthwilkerson9386 we generally don't prune in winter primarily because of weather. Secondly the tree is deep in its dormant phase and may not have enough energy to heal the heavy pruning. We typically start pruning here in the Seattle area from late February and go into November.
      Landscapers like to prune into a mushroom because it's fast and easy, but true beauty takes time and effort.
      We have more maple pruning videos under our "Out in the Field" playlist on our channel! Hope these help.
