I use an old javascript program called 'tokentool' that has an extremely simple and easy drag-and-drop interface when I'm producing lots of tokens for a campaign, usually in conjunction with an AI art generator recently. If I'm just making simple NPC tokens I can generate quite a few in a very short time without fear of copyright issues.

Great coverage on the topic. Just gonna add my methods here to boost your engagement stats. I use a 100% FOSS (Free and open source software). Because I have little talent beyond the technical I use stable diffusion to create AI art (I know AI art is problematic, but if I made more money I would just commission an artist). Then to create my border I use Blender (FOSS 3D software) and render it with an orthographic projection. Then I combine everything is a Photoshop like program called GIMP (I know the name is odd but its actually really robust). If you have any questions HMU I would be happy to provide more details if people need.

7:34 you should have blurred the background a bit so the focus would be more on the char token. Just an add on 😅😅
