@@ADMIRALSCORNER I said "eventually", not all at once and right now. This is a long term project - a bit at a time. To this end they are purchasing and obtaining bits of land all along the old route with the hope that one day they can all be joined together.
Did I ever expect to see "Lyn" albeit a replica of the original? Did I expect to see Woody Bay station looking exactly like it did in the photos only this time in FULL COLOUR? ANNOUNCEMENT: IT'S HIGH TIME THAT DAVID CROOK BECAME A HERITAGE RAILWAY VOLUNTEER...
I have never been here but have read over the years and watched it developing. Really great to see it. Thank you
It is enjoyable when you can do that. My first visit and video there was when they were laying he first track into the station.
I note that Steam enthusiasts will brave some rather nasty weather to catch a look at them! Thanks for sharing!!
Yes we do don't we! Funny lot!
Beautiful locos and train in a great landscape. Thanks for sharing your chilly day. I bet that warm soup tasted well.

It sure did Anders! The recipe is a closely guarded secret!
Excellent video. A very nice little steam train.
Greatings to you.
It was good to find a railway centre still running trains this late in the season. Most have closed for the Winter until Christmas anyway!
Good video..looked pretty cold there...Nice to see 'Lyn' out and about with 'Axe'..
i was really surprised to see some patches of snow beside the road on the way home!
I hope they eventually recreate the full length between Barnstaple and Lynton: it would be a great local and tourist asset.
It is good to dream but I fear the cost would be prohibitive now.

We wish them good luck! I rhink they are well on the way to extending to Blackmore Gate in the near future.
The L&BR have done a lovely job with Lyn. She is going to be a great asset to them.
it is really great to see an original shape loco similar to the first trains to run on that line in the 1930's.
