Agreed. The guys in the prison have a long graft. The pilot needs to be good at evading missiles and the demo guy needs to be good at aiming with the buzzard. Definitely not an easy one for newbies. And there’s always at least one newbie when playing with randoms.
Pilot:Need a guy who would dodge the missile and being wise at tactics(example:after he dodged a missile shot where will he goes) and evade those cops Demolish:Need a man who had logic and accuracy aim to backup the pilot. After cleans up those cops, demolish should pick up the entire group. Prisoner:Snacks and armor are your best friends, Give the job to someone who has got higher rank(their health would be increased than newbie), Prisoner will only has a pistol so be careful.(I don't recommended provide this job to newbie) Police officer:Helps to protect the prisoner from being gunshot, You can use all of your available weapons, Higher rank will have higher health, Same rule to prisoner snacks and armor are your friends (Don't give this job to newbie bc they didn't have suitable weapons and health too)
GTA online heists update in a nutshell: The Majority of the community Complains about heists for 1.5 years. Heists are then released. people are barely joining the setup missions and once someone sends invites to the whole server for the heist finale.......well you gotta be fast enough to accept it. Once you finally have people to play with you usually get teamed up with people that are like your average CS:GO teammates. Someone then does something stupid and dies and fucks up the setup/finale and probably leaves. All of this happens 99.9% of your whole play time and you end up being frustrated and pissed. True story
I have a question. If you are a normal guy who gets invites (not leader) are you able to join instantly the heist finale or you must first do the setup missions? Does it mean that you can only get invites for the setup missions in the first place? And can you skip the cutscenes when you're repeating a heist? I don't know because im a PC gamer and im still waiting for the game.

I've worked with the same heist crew for about five years now and we always nail it on the first try on hard with four simple steps. 1. The player who paid the setup cost gets a 40% cut while everyone else gets 20%. (Anyone who demands more than 20% is too greedy and toxic) 2. We each play the role were best suited for, whether it's driving, flying, hacking, explosives, or simply doing crowd control. 3. Communication. A successful heist depends on keeping everyone in the loop about what's going on. 4. Always have fun, we play better when we're in a good mood.
Naughty Noose pain of being the pilot? Dude in my case that's one of the easiest role in the prison break heist it's the prisoner and prison for officer is the pain in the @$$
My biggest problem as a pilot is that you spend a lot of time not really doing anything but entirely dependent on people in a gunfight on the other side of the map, so with a shitty player group you can end up repeatedly restarting over and over without ever having done anything more exciting than fly in a straight line. One group had such a bad prisoner that I eventually gave up and quit on them. By the end of it I was getting in the plane and then sitting there in the hangar drinking gin and scrolling on my phone because inevitably the prisoner would die within 2 minutes of me reaching the plane.

The Heist that pissed me off the most was this one, because it had so much potential to be something more. When I heard we were getting a prison break heist, I thought Rockstar would have made an entire interior for the prison. Someone would have to be the prisoner while someone else is the guard and you navigate through obstacles to get out undetected. But no, instead lets have this half assed attempt and have the guards start shooting you right away. it was just a shootout in the prison yard basically, what a bunch of shit. Rockstar really did it this time, a year and a half for 5 (if you even count the first one at all) scripted as fuck heists. No variety what's so ever.
Corky64 Uh, only for the first time you play. Then you realize the Heists ARE in fact scripted. Most Heists are just High-end Missions, the only one that was good was the last one. They should have had a randomize structure, to add replay value instead of doing the same shit, with the same areas the enemys spawn in.
So basically Rockstar just confirmed in NPC dialogue that we literally pull 1700 pounds worth of military grade hardware out of our asses... Not sure how I feel about that.
Most common mistakes Plane: the pilot crashes the plane during landing as they hold onto the accelerate button for too long. The ground team mostly crash into the gas canisters and blow up. The ground team also end up trying to get into the plane. The high levels use weaponized vehicles and end up destroying the plane most of the times. Finale: pilot does loops and crashes Prison guard doesn't protect the prisoner Prisoner can't fight Demolition doesn't destroy the bus Demolition rams the jets Someone dies on parachuting Someone lands in helicopter blades
last night, my friends were trying to complete this heist but right when they got to the plane, they accidently crashed into gas canisters, watched this front row of the plane. pain
Okay. Am I the only one who finds something very strange with the Heist Coordinator. Now I know it's PAINFULLY obvious that he isn't a Criminal (In the 3rd Heist he says he's with the IAA) but the very strangest bit with this is the VA for this guy (Who is known as Agent 14 in the Game's Files). Anyway, the VA for this guy is Robert Bogue, who also does Steve Haines. Now, there are A LOT of things very similar between Agent 14 and Steve Haines. 1. Both work with American Intelligence Agencies (Steve with the FIB, Agent 14 with the IAA) 2. Both work with Criminals (Steve works with Michael, Franklin and Trevor. Agent 14 works with the GTA Online Protagonist) 3. Both coordinate work against Humane Laboratories (Steve with Michael, Trevor, Franklin and Dave in 'Monkey Business' and Agent 14 with the GTA Online Protagonist Crew in the 'Humane Labs Raid') 4. Both have the same Voice Actor (Robert Bogue) Now, with all of this Information in hand, I honestly believe that in the earlier phases of the Heist Update (Prior to the Trailer) that originally Agent 14 was going to be Steve Haines and that originally you'd be working with the FIB instead of the IAA. Now obviously you will be saying "What If I killed Steve in Option C" and then I'll say that Rockstar have said that GTA V's Singleplayer is set around Autumn 2013, GTA Online is set around Summer 2013, being several months prior to the whole story, this is why Trevor never mentions Franklin or Michael, or how Martin's House in Los Santos still exists. However, for some reason, they decided to replace Steve Haines with a new IAA Agent and got Bogue to redo the line. Of course though, that's just a Theory, a Game The-*head explodes*

3 times in a row we got the bug which causes the prisoner to not move. Same bug happened to my brother multiple times years ago. I guess they are never gonna fix it.
I did this heist today! Luckily I was the host and I set myself as the demolition team member and it wasn't too bad. Hell, I enjoyed flying the buzzard and bombing the hell out of all the cops and helicopters they sent. I actually had a good team of randoms and I just split the take with them. It's not too bad once you get a decent team

i did this heist finale once and we collected that rashkofski guy or something like that and we flew him to the spot but then some idiot landed on his face when we were parachuting and we had to do the entire mission again
Yo I was doing it one time and we got to the cutscene where they were jumping out of the plane and as soon as they did it said Rashkovsky died and I was like what the heck -.- no cops no one shooting nothing he just randomly had a heart attack in the plane I guess.

My friends and I are close to completing this heist for the first time. We will aim for Criminal Mastermind the second time through, also thanks for the helpful tips it will help throughout the setups & finales.
Heist Tips: Pilot: Stall. Drive around, cause a little trouble, do donuts in the airport, just wait until you have about 5 minutes left to take the plane and fly out. This gives the Demolition time to wreck the bus and get to the Buzzard to fight off the jets. Officer: Be prepared to drop a better weapon, IE a Carbine Rifle, or MG for the Prisoner. It helps greatly Prisoner: Stay back with Rashkovsky once you reach the gap in the buildings. Once the Officer has the riot van in position, you run ahead with him and jump in. Officer: Position the van with the passenger door facing the gap in the buildings, this makes for a quicker escape as Rashkovsky can get in quicker, and the Prisoner can run and jump in the back Demolitions: HURRY. I know from personal experience, it is damn hard to evade those fighter jets and their missiles in a small little Velum 5 seater. Pilot: Fly high. In case you need to evade a missile, you can jet downwards. Pilot: Make use of the “Roll” ability. (Not really an ability but you get the point) Pilot: Keep an ear out. If you hear the lock-on sound (beeping which slowly gets quicker, along with the ‘woosh’ from the missile), evade, as in NOW Officer-Prisoner: Wait until you’ve reached the ladder to break character and start shooting. Demolitions: Chase after the jets and make use of the lock on missiles. 9/10 times it’s saved my pilot’s ass. Pilot-Prisoner-Officer: Parachute close to the target, but stand back from the helicopter until it’s landed. Avoid the rear at all costs. Me and my boys have failed several times because one idiot got too close to the rear blade, and got sliced. Demolitions: Be careful about landing the helicopter. Try not to slice your teammates. Prisoner-Officer: Have the officer go first when advancing towards Rashkovsky. They keep all their weapons, and come equipped with body armor, so they naturally have a better chance of surviving the gunfight Take this Advice from a level 150+ player who has done this 4+ times
2015: People could do the finale perfectly 2019: Anything that can go wrong WILL go wrong. People crashing the plane, Demolitions shooting down a police chopper and having the fuselage land on the plane, some idiot committing suicide during the parachuting, some idiot parachuting into the rotors of the Buzzard, crashing the Buzzard while trying to land on the beach and it getting destroyed
Agent 14 saying "I am a criminal after all" reminds me of Brian Brushwood from Modern Rogue saying "I am a legitimate bartender" and it makes me laugh every single time.
This prison break mission is hard as hell it took me and my crew forever to get it done, lots of arguments lots of everything, just be glad you're not on party chat when all this happened. We did have some laughs too

Big tips for this mission finale, Pilot...don't start flying till 4:00 to reduce your own exposure time and give demo more time to get the chopper, also prison guard CAN DROP WEAPONS AND AMMO, give the prisoner an lmg with a 200 round belt and 600 plus rounds of ammo and see how easy this becomes.
Ahhh, you guys know how to play and make quality videos. To be honest, I thought you guys would manage to get Criminal Mastermind before the dudes who claimed it on the GTA Forums. I will attempt it with some real life friends if one of them ever sends me the Goddamn friend request.
After i tried this 5 times i learn something. Never waste your time with things that require more than yourself to be done. Try it with randoms is a hell on earth.

Considering the fact that they have actual prison guard uniforms now, I'm surprised they didn't go back and change the prison officer outfit in this heist.
Hosted/finished this heist for the first time today; this video was a big help. No elite bonus because I only had random crews for every set up until the finale, somebody died or quit at least once every mission, but I scored over $600K in the end, thanks to double payouts this week! Kinda sucks y'all kicked total ass here and only got $250K.

RsAOfAnt Yes I agree on it being much better than the pointless jobs, but not enough to be satisfied with the reward. The vehicle glitches can get you more money and at a quicker speed. Also don't forget the trouble with doing these heists with random people.

Corky64 Uh, only for the first time you play. Then you realize the Heists ARE in fact scripted. Most Heists are just High-end Missions, the only one that was good was the last one. They should have had a randomize structure, to add replay value instead of doing the same shit, with the same areas the enemys spawn in.
I was literally trying to go through the doors during the Heist because I was almost positive that rockstar did that considering the time they took

So basically Rockstar just confirmed in NPC dialogue that we literally pull 1700 pounds worth of military grade hardware out of our asses... Not sure how I feel about that.

Most common mistakes
Plane: the pilot crashes the plane during landing as they hold onto the accelerate button for too long.
The ground team mostly crash into the gas canisters and blow up.
The ground team also end up trying to get into the plane.
The high levels use weaponized vehicles and end up destroying the plane most of the times.
Finale: pilot does loops and crashes
Prison guard doesn't protect the prisoner
Prisoner can't fight
Demolition doesn't destroy the bus
Demolition rams the jets
Someone dies on parachuting
Someone lands in helicopter blades

Okay. Am I the only one who finds something very strange with the Heist Coordinator. Now I know it's PAINFULLY obvious that he isn't a Criminal (In the 3rd Heist he says he's with the IAA) but the very strangest bit with this is the VA for this guy (Who is known as Agent 14 in the Game's Files). Anyway, the VA for this guy is Robert Bogue, who also does Steve Haines. Now, there are A LOT of things very similar between Agent 14 and Steve Haines.
1. Both work with American Intelligence Agencies (Steve with the FIB, Agent 14 with the IAA)
2. Both work with Criminals (Steve works with Michael, Franklin and Trevor. Agent 14 works with the GTA Online Protagonist)
3. Both coordinate work against Humane Laboratories (Steve with Michael, Trevor, Franklin and Dave in 'Monkey Business' and Agent 14 with the GTA Online Protagonist Crew in the 'Humane Labs Raid')
4. Both have the same Voice Actor (Robert Bogue)
Now, with all of this Information in hand, I honestly believe that in the earlier phases of the Heist Update (Prior to the Trailer) that originally Agent 14 was going to be Steve Haines and that originally you'd be working with the FIB instead of the IAA. Now obviously you will be saying "What If I killed Steve in Option C" and then I'll say that Rockstar have said that GTA V's Singleplayer is set around Autumn 2013, GTA Online is set around Summer 2013, being several months prior to the whole story, this is why Trevor never mentions Franklin or Michael, or how Martin's House in Los Santos still exists. However, for some reason, they decided to replace Steve Haines with a new IAA Agent and got Bogue to redo the line.
Of course though, that's just a Theory, a Game The-*head explodes*

Same happens with me in every heist it's so difficult to do any heist/mission with randoms i mean you should definitely have some convo over voice chat because it's all about communication
3 times in a row we got the bug which causes the prisoner to not move. Same bug happened to my brother multiple times years ago. I guess they are never gonna fix it.
In my case, one asshole won't ready up and I get invisible wall'd at the hangar!
I did this heist today! Luckily I was the host and I set myself as the demolition team member and it wasn't too bad. Hell, I enjoyed flying the buzzard and bombing the hell out of all the cops and helicopters they sent. I actually had a good team of randoms and I just split the take with them. It's not too bad once you get a decent team

i did this heist finale once and we collected that rashkofski guy or something like that and we flew him to the spot but then some idiot landed on his face when we were parachuting and we had to do the entire mission again

My friends and I are close to completing this heist for the first time. We will aim for Criminal Mastermind the second time through, also thanks for the helpful tips it will help throughout the setups & finales.

Heist Tips:
Pilot: Stall. Drive around, cause a little trouble, do donuts in the airport, just wait until you have about 5 minutes left to take the plane and fly out. This gives the Demolition time to wreck the bus and get to the Buzzard to fight off the jets.
Officer: Be prepared to drop a better weapon, IE a Carbine Rifle, or MG for the Prisoner. It helps greatly
Prisoner: Stay back with Rashkovsky once you reach the gap in the buildings. Once the Officer has the riot van in position, you run ahead with him and jump in.
Officer: Position the van with the passenger door facing the gap in the buildings, this makes for a quicker escape as Rashkovsky can get in quicker, and the Prisoner can run and jump in the back
Demolitions: HURRY. I know from personal experience, it is damn hard to evade those fighter jets and their missiles in a small little Velum 5 seater.
Pilot: Fly high. In case you need to evade a missile, you can jet downwards.
Pilot: Make use of the “Roll” ability. (Not really an ability but you get the point)
Pilot: Keep an ear out. If you hear the lock-on sound (beeping which slowly gets quicker, along with the ‘woosh’ from the missile), evade, as in NOW
Officer-Prisoner: Wait until you’ve reached the ladder to break character and start shooting.
Demolitions: Chase after the jets and make use of the lock on missiles. 9/10 times it’s saved my pilot’s ass.
Pilot-Prisoner-Officer: Parachute close to the target, but stand back from the helicopter until it’s landed. Avoid the rear at all costs. Me and my boys have failed several times because one idiot got too close to the rear blade, and got sliced.
Demolitions: Be careful about landing the helicopter. Try not to slice your teammates.
Prisoner-Officer: Have the officer go first when advancing towards Rashkovsky. They keep all their weapons, and come equipped with body armor, so they naturally have a better chance of surviving the gunfight
Take this Advice from a level 150+ player who has done this 4+ times

People crashing the plane, Demolitions shooting down a police chopper and having the fuselage land on the plane, some idiot committing suicide during the parachuting, some idiot parachuting into the rotors of the Buzzard, crashing the Buzzard while trying to land on the beach and it getting destroyed
Agent 14 saying "I am a criminal after all" reminds me of Brian Brushwood from Modern Rogue saying "I am a legitimate bartender" and it makes me laugh every single time.
This prison break mission is hard as hell it took me and my crew forever to get it done, lots of arguments lots of everything, just be glad you're not on party chat when all this happened. We did have some laughs too

As an introvert who hasnt got any friends even in gta online, i see this as an absolute disaster.
Big tips for this mission finale, Pilot...don't start flying till 4:00 to reduce your own exposure time and give demo more time to get the chopper, also prison guard CAN DROP WEAPONS AND AMMO, give the prisoner an lmg with a 200 round belt and 600 plus rounds of ammo and see how easy this becomes.

Ultimate guide: the pilot should keep flying around Los Santos waiting for the ground team to finish, this is the most important role in the heist
Demolition: the demolition should stay out of the prison's airspace
The prisoner should let the guard handle the first set as the guard has better weapons
The guard should handle the first set of enemies and protect the prisoner

Hosted/finished this heist for the first time today; this video was a big help. No elite bonus because I only had random crews for every set up until the finale, somebody died or quit at least once every mission, but I scored over $600K in the end, thanks to double payouts this week!

RsAOfAnt Yes I agree on it being much better than the pointless jobs, but not enough to be satisfied with the reward. The vehicle glitches can get you more money and at a quicker speed. Also don't forget the trouble with doing these heists with random people.
