for that first story, that boss is actually very hilarious 💀 how do you try to prevent a man from spending time w his child and you keep denying his pto request 😭
Happens all the time
@@QuickManEXE that is so messed up
@@ninjamaxtv2761 I know. There are many bosses out there that will tell their employees, to their faces, that work is more important than family. Many others will expect/demand you show up no matter what. I work in the food industry and many bosses have the attitude of "Unless you are dead, in jail or in hospital, you better show up".
@ninjamaxtv2761 exactly
@@QuickManEXE but still people gotta take some time off just to spend time with his family/new born baby and not everyone has the same opinion and i respect yours
For the first story, assuming the husband met the requirements for FMLA the boss would have been in violation of federal protected leave when he denied the paternity leave. Then in double trouble when he retroactively applied his paternity leave that harmed the employee. That’s company could have faced thousands of dollars of fines.
Edit: the disability comment is another situation where the boss could have faced ADA violations. She was a customer while she was shopping so she was protected under the ADA.
Probably
Now you just have to convince a jury or judge that the husband obviously broke the law
For Fula, he would have grounds for taking it because of his wife’s recovery and with helping with the baby. Boss should have gotten fired sooner
This first story reminds me of a co-worker I used to have. When he found out his wife was pregnant, he got a second job at Wal-Mart to help pay for everything they would need. When his wife went into labor, his boss there refused to let him call off, threatening to fire him. We live in a no fault state, where employers can fire you for no reason at all, so the boss very well could fire him and there would be nothing he could do about it. About a month later, there was another incident that resulted in my co-worker quitting. He was on his way to work, when he got a call from his wife stating that their daughter had stopped breathing, and she needed him to come back to drive them to the emergency room. He turned around and called his boss to let him know he had an emergency and needed to call off. His boss again threatened to fire him if he didn't make it, and my co-worker told him "You can't fire me, because I quit." He told us all the story during his next shift, and our boss was able to get him back to full time so he could continue to provide for his family.
This honestly wasn't even the only time I'd heard about that store being absolute trash like this either. I had a friend who worked for that same Wal-Mart, and she had issues with her feet that required surgery. She'd asked for time off, and they actually did fire her. Their reason? They just didn't want to pay for her medical leave. My dad's neighbor also worked there, and one day she came to my dad's door in tears because her car had broken down, and her husband was at work. She'd tried to call off from work, but Wal-Mart told her the same thing as my co-worker. "Show up, or your fired." My dad of course gave her a ride to work so that she could keep her job, but it's still crazy to me that there are people like this who can't even have sympathy for the fact that sometimes life just happens, and there's nothing you can do about it.
When a baby stops breathing normal people call an embilamce. And everyone goes to the hospital.
Wow! I hope you and your family is going good now
What kind of monster wont let you go to the hospital because your child STOPPED BREATHING?????
Sounds like a jerk.
Family ALWAYS comes 1st.
“Put an entitled carrot in their place”💀
In the second story, the fact that the bakery and other stores give free stuff to entitled assholes disgusts me as they do these things to keep those people quiet and so those Karen folks just find a way to make off with free stuff. Also, the workers that are fired because they confront stupid influencers and Karens represent the problem we have in schools where people are either punished, suspended or expelled because they stand up to their bullies.
so true like why reward people for being baby's or doing something stupid all it does it make them do it more places need to punish Karren's not reward them
That's been going on a good long while. I got sent to court 5 times for defending myself from middle school to high school. Late 90s to early 2000s.
and parents wonder why kids hate school so much lol
His boss says he’s a Simp to paternity leave when in reality his boss is a Simp to work
ow
Story 3: I think the guy just wants to get fired. Idk why but it can be to avoid spousal support.
2nd story: it is waaaaaaaaay past time to retire the "customer is always right" mentality
acutely the full quote is "the customer is always right in matters of style and taste but not in matters of price and policy"
@@Yewro2000 I know that. As with "blood is thicker than water" the original saying has been warped and lost. Stay on point.
15:02 "put an entitled carrot in her place." got me laughing tears🤣
That's all folks!
🤣

THE THUMBNAIL GOT ME ROLLING 💀✋
*Story 1:* Who the hell is this boss and why is he so determined to prevent him from being there to meet his newborn child?
I actually enjoy dealing with Karen's. My boss doesn't care if I put them back in place 😁
Oh man that first one. That boss is on the same level as the boss my man had when I was pregnant. He had the habit of locking up stuff like slips for time off in his desk so NO one could use them. And the medical kit was in his office. If I remember. he would lock his office while he wasn't in there. And when it came to my man. Both my man and me wished we could have been flies on the wall. He actually went down to HR and told them that they needed to make my man go back to work. They told HIM that my man was covered by the Family Leave Act. And that my man had up to 12 weeks if he wanted to use them. We wished we could have seen his face when he heard that.
I feel like this is missing context 'cos it seems like two different stories, especially the first part.
Serves the nepo baby right
dude that karen voice is insane
15:03 carrot ah yes an annoying carrot at the bakery 💀
Listening to story 2 reminded me of another reddit post, the karen went to the bakery section of a supermarket and began grabbing and smelling all the rolls trying to find, in her words, "the freshest bread" even though they were all from the same batch. When asked to stop as the store will have to now throw out all the contaminated buns the karen got offended and demanded to talk to the manager, the manager came listened to karen as she basically outed herself and what she did. The manager excused himself, went behind the bakery and grabbed a stack of large paper bags and began bagging up all the buns, all whilst the karen is screaming entitlement at him. The manager then price stickered all the bags and dumps them in the karens cart, and then told the karen to please pay for her goods and leave the store, security will make sure you pay for all your shopping. The karen was then escorted to a till and off the property with her half trolley of buns. 🤣🤣🤣
Story 2: I certainly wish I could call out idiot customers when I pump gas at the convenient store I work at.
Back when I had my first job, I heard a story about one of my co-workers (I'll call her Zoey) that she was on her phone in the middle of the shift, but it was because someone was texting her that someone she knows had an emergency and needed to be taken to the ER.
The shift manager at that time saw Zoey with her phone, told her to put it away and go back to work, DESPITE her telling him her friend/family member was taken to the ER, I wouldn't be surprised if she asked to call them or go see them, but NO, the guy said he didn't care. That one particular shift manager was an ass, and I remember working on Halloween, the crew ordered pizza, but I decided to order from Pizza hut next door, bc I didn't like what they ordered. He felt the need to tell my boss who happened to be my dad running the store, and snitch about it. That guy was such an asshole!
Fun fact: In some countries and companies the paternity leave is as short as one week. Yes. 7 days for the father to help the mother and newborn and get back to work
voice: put a Karen in her place
closed captions: put a carrot in her place
If that first story took place at a Stop and Shop I’d believe that happened 110%
karens really b something else
1st story. To hell with that boss.
What is going on with the audio at 08:49 - 08:51 ?!
i think it was an editing mistake
I just have to ask.. 3.. 3 days Paternity leave!?? 3???? What the frick!?
I love this channel, keep it up!
Let’s go malicious compliance
Very nice that Boss was such a baby like cmon.
even if she didn't have a disability doesn't mean she doesn't need help with the baby that manager sounds so entitled
I'm a second-year studying finance, (I'm actually almost the same age as the boss) and we're learning about organizations and management now. Let me tell you, this is NOT how a boss treats his employees. A good manager provides a healthy and safe work environment, which will in turn motivate the employees. This is in every way the opposite. Good thing this guy was fired.
The manager being pissed/petty about time off is pretty common, simple reason is is that when that person is gone the manager themselves sometimes has to step in to cover those shifts which they hate, when we were understaffed my managers fuckin hated coming in to work a normal shift and really tried to push us into picking up overtime and to pretty much deal with less people because quote “it’s not our job to work these positions”.
Other countries laugh at us for this stuff. Men deserve time off too. It's necessary for men to be a part of the coming home process. The bonding process begins, learning daily life changes that surround Parenthood is being implemented, care for both the mother and baby is being provided.
love the vids i m obessed
Last story. Call the cops at his location for a wellness check. Best way to handle it
Story 1. Jerkface Boss. Get a CLUE! Hubby ISN'T on the schedule! STOP CALLING HIM.
The last story is tragic the guy needs a lot of therapy he needs to take a nap
The boss from the first story reminds me of a soccer/football press conference where a young reporter incredulously asked the coach why he allowed a player to go see the birth of his son instead of playing an important game.
The coach and the parents of the room looked at him incredulously and the coach asked if he was a father (he was not) , then calmly explained that someone seeing the birth of their child is always more important than any game.
This is one of the most Toxic bosses I ever heard.
story 2 the bakery needs a reality check you dont reward Karren's you do something to make sure they dont act like idiots but i guess they dont want bad reviews saying they are mean to their customers oh well
Mister Poladofu na tumb lol
"Put an entitled carrot in their place"
I don't know who makes your subtitles, but I'd get someone else, if they lack the ability to pick up this much context clues
the husband should get a new job so he can leave at anytime to see op having a baby in the hospital.
but i love how they got their revenge on the boss.
I honestly hope the original poster and her husband don't get any more trouble after everything was said and done in the first story but unfortunately there is one thing that we're all ignoring here after everything was said and done in the first story but unfortunately there is one thing that we're all ignoring here his former boss's dad is a district manager and depending on how the father of his former boss is he might just use his power to make the original posters husband's life a living hell after what they did to his son
How do you live in a country where you have to beg for leave to be sick, and not be ashamed?
The last story the guy might be suffering from schizophrenia and isn’t properly treated for it
Where i come from, paternity leave once applied. Person is not to be touched. Of course, my boss did call me up though. To ask me what my wife wants in the hamper that everyone is going to create.
I told my boss that i'm sorry that several co-workers need to work my portion.
He told me that he can lose 50% of our team and work still goes on as normal. If ONE person can cause a collapse of an entire structure, then. Everyone is useless.
Nepo: is short for Nepotism. Meaning you only got the job because your one of your family members was in the business, or is well respected.
Its the the job equivalent of a spoiled rich kid.
As one of the hardest right assholes in existence, and a boss myself...yes that boss is a jerk. Men work to support their families, not the collective. God comes first, family second, community and nation third, and only after that do you start worrying about making sure people earn their way in life and are not parasites on others.
I actually read the pregnancy story in bored panda 😂
I took a week off. It was perfect.
I mean, I would tell the guy that he seems to be having a huge problem and encourage him to seek help. If your management is supportive I would try to do an intervention and explain it to him, how he's changed, how his work isn’t getting done by him. Maybe you and the other team member try to do it if you are close enough. But in the end it's not really OP's problem to deal with.
Stories like the third-story keep me from wanting to marry my girlfriend. Thank God for SSM, I suggest everybody man or woman to watch his videos.
Why didn't they charge her for every breaf thing she touched?
At 15:03 instead of it saying ‘Karen’ on the subtitles, it said ‘carrot’
I would not like to eat an entitled carrot 😅
If the USA voted differently they could have statutory maternity and paternity leave and pay as per most of the rest of the world. Just saying.
8:52 there's a glitch here
First story, when the boss kept calling OP's house over and over to try and make her husband come into work, I would have begun looking into whether he could be charged with Harassment, creating a hostile work environment, and other things....because if so, they could probably have just contacted corporate and said: *"Here's the situation. This manager is harassing my husband to try and force him to come into work by retroactively denying his PTO and Paternity leave, and when he fails to do that he keeps coming up with other excuses. He has also tried to claim that I am not disabled and do not need help with our newborn. Unless you deal with him in a manner we deem satisfactory, we will be taking legal action."* The instant corporate heard the words "legal action", they probably would have gone into "Oh, shit!" mode and fired that asshole so fast his head would spin....and possibly even fired the guy's dad for good measure to punish him for the obvious nepotism. The last thing a business like that needs is the hit to their reputation that such charges would bring, so they would more than likely prefer to just give that boss the axe and be done with it than risk having an even bigger problem on their hands.
The third story is just Spamton G Spamton backstory 💀💀💀💀
Nice
Only in america can a boss just deny someone vacation. in nz, if u dont use your 4 weeks, it carries over too the next year so you get 8 weeks, and it just keeps stacking untill you use it all up
EDIT: i just searched it up and is it true that in the usa you only get 2 weeks off??? in nz you get 52 PAID weeks off if you or your partner has a baby
under 30 minutes gang👇👇👇
And I'm better then before because I play Roblox more than my friend so my friend talk about it and wants me to quit and I told him no but he can a jerk sometimes
For the first story shouldn't the dad also be under investigation. I mean I'm not one hundred percent sure if the what store he works but most franchised stores have polices that should prevent that nepotism like not being allowed to work where a family member has power or influence
What a Jerk of a boss. Good Riddance to that Rotten piece of Carrot Cake.
🥕🍰🔥🔥🔥🔥😈
Seriously if it were me and I were the boss I wouldn't even forced him to have to use his vacation time I would tell him to take as much time as he needs and the cherry on top I would tell him it was all paid for on me
Story one at 8:52 you said something then it cut off saying something about the manager
If you think the second story was disgusting one time I went to a buffet restaurant and it was packed and I was sitting down eating food with my family when I witnessed this I'd say 12-14 black kid sticks his finger up his butt literally and then grabs for the tongs my dad witnessed it and notified us what happened behind me it was seriously disgusting.
Did anyone else get an audio bug in the first story?
What game is that in the bg
Wait a minute 15:03 entailed carrot??
What’s labor?

How and why

You know I bet you before they can head unions getting medical leave off was probably like pulling teeth so with that said yes he was a jerk if that's what you're asking
