I hate how hateful people are with these honestly, like get off your high horse, and stop acting like you know it all. They played very well, and put in a lot of effort to get to where they were. In which yeah any sort of nerf is going to grant an advantage, regardless of whether it's liquid or echo that gets it first. It's just unfortunate that there isn't an effective way to release any sort of buffs or nerfs without directly impacting either team without literally pausing the race for both to make it even when they release the nerf. Truth be told I do wish blizzard would do proper internal testing of these end bosses given it's been a consistent issue of each time they released them in untested states. They have always been overtuned in some manner and meant nerfs were abundant during the race.
