    I found this really relaxing. I actually just dropped out of college, so seeing other people changing their finances, and reevaluating is so comforting. I dropped to put my mental health first, but now I have a very different budget, have to pay back my tuition pretty quickly etc. Your content has really been helping me through this process of change. So much unknown, but nice to have a familiar face throughout it all.

    A note about the IKEA kitchen - you can go for your consultation and price everything out in-store but then they can print you the order without actually placing it at that moment. Then you can just call customer service when you're ready to place the order to put it through on your credit card. They can also check their stock to let you know how long it will take to come in from the time you decide to place the order. Just wanted to share that 🙂

    For books, have you ever considered borrowing from the library or using an app like the Libby app? You link your library card through the app and can digitally borrow books and audiobooks from your library and read them on your phone or tablet. I love physical books, but I was running out of space to store them and I also wanted to cut down on expenses.

    • @peaceandshine
      @peaceandshine 2 года назад

      Not sure if Canada has something similar.

    • @CarterSullivan
      @CarterSullivan  2 года назад

      Yes I have! Our library wait times are MONTHS long and if I have to wait 4 months for a new release I'm just going to buy it honestly lol. I have a Kindle & use Kindle Unlimited so I get unlimited reads for $11/month. I can't use Libby with Kindle sadly and I wouldn't really read on my tablet/phone if I have a Kindle. Personally I think we all spend money differently & I don't really spend much on myself- I don't buy clothes often or expensive makeup! So for me buying books is what makes me happy! I buy 90% of my books second hand usually off FB marketplace or book outlets! ♥️📚

    So first off, love your content. Has helped make budgeting relaxing, easy and relatable. I just got this spread sheet and upon rewatching your video I realize you are budgeting for your month here.
    If we want to use this biweekly upon receiving our paycheck, should we go in and edit all the numbers? Should I just go in and add in actual amounts for only the bills I am paying in that period to ensure the numbers calculate correctly? Hoping you'll post a biweekly budgeting routine with this soon to get a better understanding!!

    • @CarterSullivan
      @CarterSullivan  2 года назад

      But also remember I work from home and everything I need is in a 5 mile/km radius from me. So yes gas is crazy expensive everywhere in the world right now! We also all have different sized cars! It currently costs me about $80-90 to fill up my ELANTRA LOL but I only fill up my tank once a month since it gets me around 650km and I work from home haha

      I am well aware that it's something I could pay off early however we have more prioritizing goals right now like renovating our home! I paid off all my student loans in 2020 and hustled to do so and now I'm enjoying life. While paying off my car loan is a goal for the next few years it isn't a debt I'm contributing MORE than my minimum on which is why I left it out of the debt category. • @CarterSullivan
