- Because Timex sports such a long history of watchmaking, they’ve been able to dig back into their archives and reissue some of their favorite timepieces. A very recent reissue of theirs has been the “Q” diver watch-from the primordial years of their quartz-watch manufacturing.

Nice but is this the same quartz movement you'd get in a 30 Euro weekender?

More complicated. Weekender is a 3 hand. Q is a 3 hand day/date
It’s an $8 Seiko movement, but this watch is more the sum of its parts and horological history than a value proposition based on features. I got one a few weeks ago at regular retail (I got lucky) and can attest to the fact that it’s special. It’s my daily watch now. I have much more expensive watches but I just love wearing this one.
@@LanningKann Good for you. but thinking that its special is very much to do with your personal tastes. I like Timex's and everything and love the look of this watch but there quartz reissues seem to expensive for what they are.
