Yes, the Nazis installed their Dutch Collaborator-Puppet, Vidkung Quisling. "Quisling" is a synonym for "Traitor", just like calling someone a "Benedict Arnold" in the US is calling them a traitor or back-stabber.

They are amazing people and I'm not embarrassed to admit I have a huge crush on them just as people in general. They're so badass & facinating.
One of the sadder aspects of stories like this is how many women in the Resistance were brutally punished by their townsfolk as "collaborators" after the war, often having their heads shaved and paraded before the people as they smacked them around and hurled insults.
The female collaborators were comparatively lucky, the men were tortured to death (yes, I understand that these specific women weren't collaborators, but if female resistance fighters mistakenly had their heads shaved, it's much worse for the male resistance members that cosied up to the Germans as spies). This is one of those situations where people acted like wild mobs, it's an unfortunately reality of humanity that people and pent up rage do not go well with each other.

The bottom line: how many Dutch citizens would have been killed or deported, as a result of retaliation for each German soldiers she killed under treacherous conditions?
Not as of yet, there has been talks about it for a few decades, but current Hollywood is trying to end WWII movies due to ever changing obscure reasons. Personally, I see it would be a fantastic film / educational piece. A small average family that mastered espionage, assassinations and rescues. While still holding onto their humanity but as well equally continued to do said tasks must have been daunting on their mind and emotions while their world literally burned down around them - and still continued to help others survive.
Nope, because instead of promoting stories about real heroines of the war they have to insert fake female characters with steampunk arms and have them take away the achievements of real people. Seriously though, I doubt this would ever become a thing, modern agendas don't like the idea of telling stories about women who use 'feminine wiles' (or women who use sex as a weapon) to achieve their objectives. For some reason ideologues only like women who succeed through stereotypically masculine traits.
If she used the same tactics to kill American soldiers, she would have face certain death sentence. It was a violation against Geneva convention and The Hague Convention. As a Dutch woman living in an English speaking country and knowing how hard the Dutch language is, it warms my heart to hear you put so much effort into pronouncing the names properly!
I’ve read about these kinds of incidents before, additionally the German soldiers would be attracted to a woman and want to talk to her. A disposable very inexpensive gun was used to usually shoot him. The next thing was the resistance now had a rifle and ammunition. Now they can be shot at longer range. Remember the Germans had all the armament and all the technology. This type of thing will work today if necessary in various countries including ours. People have no idea how vulnerable a situation can be.
@Roger Szmodis My comment at the end was directed at people who think, well not necessarily think real well, that taking the guns away from people commonly called confiscation doesn’t work. The sheep will never do anything the lions will. I’ve disposed of all of my machine shop equipment, but I know lots of people in the business and I can assure you making something that is extremely accurate commonly called a firearm is not very hard. And I can you just imagine what it’s like being married to someone whose job it is to go out and confiscate guns? In the end LEO’s will quit in droves because of the pressure from their spouse.
@Roger Szmodis Irresponsible parents are everywhere in the world. Go to Google or a search engine and type in mouse trap detonator for shotgun shell as a alarm system. After you consume that and there are a few videos, think about what happened if the part that makes the noise was in a pipe.

If she used the same tactics to kill American soldiers, she would have face certain death sentence. It was a violation against Geneva convention and The Hague Convention. The bottom line: how many Dutch citizens would have been killed or deported, as a result of retaliation for each German soldiers she killed under treacherous conditions?
@@petershen6924 do you have a fucking life bro? You comment the same fucking thing on almost every post.
my mother's father, grandfather Carl, was a Dutch botanist at the time, and he refused to work with the Nazis as well as the Dutch govt. that were collaborating. idk WHY the Dutch govt. were doing the whims of those fascists monsters at the time, but believe me, not everyone followed suit, even Carl, who spent most of WW2 essentially hiding from the nazis.
on that note, this story should be made into a movie or mini series! i'm so sick of superhero movies at this point.
The Dutch government was in exile in London during WW2, they were not collaborating with Nazi Germany.
Yes, the Nazis installed their Dutch Collaborator-Puppet, Vidkung Quisling. "Quisling" is a synonym for "Traitor", just like calling someone a "Benedict Arnold" in the US is calling them a traitor or back-stabber.
Bring on the Unsung Extraordinary Heroes of the World Wars. Small stories of remarkable people 1-2 40 minutes episodes each.
There's a story of an English Earl who lived an adventurous life and evacuated scientists from around Europe, mostly French scientists, whose work would have resulted in the Nazis creating the nuclear bomb first. Also, major spotlight on the Polish. They got shafted quite a bit during WW2.
@@KoalaCourage Queen Wilhelmina and most of her government were. There were some collaborators in the Dutch government. Wilhelmina wanted to stay and fight with her people, but by order of King George, she wasn't able to.
@@rhino5100 You are thinking of Norway there, for Quisling. Arthur Seyss Inquart was the Austrian Nazi that the Germans put in charge of NL, was run differently to the occupied parts of France and other countries, as the Nazis were hoping to get the Dutch on side with them. Fairly certain that they shot Inquart after the war.
Props to whoever suggested, approved, and titled this episode. This is *exactly* what I needed tonight. Thank you!
Stories about heroes like these need to have WAY more attention brought to them. Absolutely amazing!
There's a character like this in Wolfenstein: The New Order. Her audio logs are...interesting to say the least.
You need an exorcism
I wouldn't be surprised if they based her off of these actual people. I wish I enjoyed the feel of the controls of the Wolfenstein reboots because the story stuff is right up my alley

There was a Dutch movie made about Hannie Schaft called 'het meisje met het rode haar' or 'the girl with the red hair'. It is worth a watch.
@@bencaspar I will search for that movie, thank you.
Combat veterans will protest as the sister’s killing of German soldiers was a violation of The Hague convention and Geneva convention. Put it simple: it is terrorist act rather than legitimate fighting.
I love that these resistance residents were real and those 3 specific women were extraordinarily extra special! It's so sad their friend was taken right at the end and not getting the ability to be with her loved ones after the war... They are amazing people and I'm not embarrassed to admit I have a huge crush on them just as people in general. They're so badass & facinating.
Crazy! Imagine how many unknowns were bad ass like this!
One of the sadder aspects of stories like this is how many women in the Resistance were brutally punished by their townsfolk as "collaborators" after the war, often having their heads shaved and paraded before the people as they smacked them around and hurled insults.
Really?! That's horrible!
@L M Tell that to the male Nazi collaboraters executed
@L M yeah. Just accept you had it easier hun.

What an amazing story of courage and heart in women so young. Great video!!
Being half Dutch I've always been ashamed of the (few) Dutch who joined the Nazis, but this makes me proud 😊
There needs to be a movie about this!!!!!
Now that is true courage & heroism! Absolutely incredible.
Not at all. If she used the same tactics to kill American soldiers, she would have faced certain death sentence. It was a violation against Geneva convention and The Hague Convention. Wow, there needs to be a movie about these badass women! So brave.
Such heroism is unimaginable and amazing ! they're my heroes !
Damn this girl is insane - is there a movie about her by now?

This would be a great idea . It’s just a shame that Americans ruin everything they touch and the movie would probably turn out horrific
Good for them. Glad they were still friends even after they started their own families. Some things were good coming out of those miserable times. Thanx for this enlightening story. 👌
I can imagine one of the missions being a sick scene in a dark comedy movie.
A soldier is walking down a street and hears a bike bell, and suddenly headshot by two little girls riding the bike
Seriously.. Netflix needs to get on this story.
Wow that was a lot to deal with but they are brave as all gets out. They deserve so much more I’m glad to hear their story
Wow what bad ass chicks they were! 💪🏽Can't believe I had never heard of these women before. A movie needs to be made about them ASAP!
From military law perspective, if she used the same tactics to kill American soldiers, she would have faced certain death sentence. It was a violation against Geneva convention and The Hague Convention. That is why even Dutch people at that time were ashamed of what she did.
Wow... luring soldiers into a forest by seducing them, then shooting them in the back of the head?? So noble!
Unfortunately I think I'd be a coward and afraid to resist but I'm in awe of such bravery. I'm sure many were grateful for what they did.
This was one of the best videos o this channel....more stories about resistance fighters please....these people should never be forgotten.
A+ video!
LOVE IT! What a fascinating topic and history, a film should be made about them!
This all happend in my home town. I know the stories a little, but while watching this I'm imagine it happen in the forests around my home, where I've had some many fond memories, and then think about these woman and what they did there...
I'm forever grateful.❤
Badass 😄. I really enjoyed this one. Stand for something or fall for anything.
As a Dutch woman living in an English speaking country and knowing how hard the Dutch language is, it warms my heart to hear you put so much effort into pronouncing the names properly!
I have read many books and seen any series and movies about WW2 but never knew this. They should make a movie about this
Saving this video for my daughter, when she gets to that point in her history classes.
Such a satisfying episode.
Jujubes!
In your country it isn’t necessary because even the kids already have guns. A 2 year old shot 2 people in a Walmart parking lot yesterday.
@@rogerszmodis you clearly have no clue
@Roger Szmodis
My comment at the end was directed at people who think, well not necessarily think real well, that taking the guns away from people commonly called confiscation doesn’t work.
@Roger Szmodis
Irresponsible parents are everywhere in the world. Go to Google or a search engine and type in mouse trap detonator for shotgun shell as a alarm system. After you consume that and there are a few videos, think about what happened if the part that makes the noise was in a pipe.

Is there a movie about this? This literally would make an AMAZING movie. And bring light to these heroic women.
Just finished watching the video and all I can say is wow, what an interesting and awesome story. Thanks for sharing 😊 and keep up the good work 😊.

Thank you my friend your video very informative sending Love and Support here
You're right. It's baffling that no one's made a movie about them

Such a badass story! I mean, it sure would be a hit in Hollywood, yeah? It seems plenty of their adventures are written about and recorded in history. I wonder if this story just never caught on in the U.S. for some reason and that's why I've never heard about it?
I wonder if their story didn’t catch on in the US because of their connection to communism 🙁

Yes, of course! I was swept up in the excitement of their mission to stop Nazi's and totally forgot about that.
From military perspective, killing soldiers while under the disguise of civilian is strictly forbidden under The Hague Convention and Geneva Convention. Had they tried the same way to kill American soldiers, they will face death penalty rather than being treated as legitimate POW.
How has all of this not been made into a movie???
