Let's see so maybe 3 likes and dislikes. Dislikes: 1. Polarized Sunglasses kind of black out the screen since it's LCD. You'll need to switch to non-polarized. But I need to do that anyways because it has a similar effect on window tints. 2. I had no idea wireless carplay and android auto just destroyed your battery life. Definitely get the wired dongle to work so you can do wired Apple Carplay. 3. Presetting and saving favorites for the radio is kind of glitchy, it still works but it could use an update. Likes: 1. It looks and feels great! No issues there at all. very responsive and I haven't had any major glitches 2. Navigation is so much easier when using the android auto or apple car play. No more looking at your phone, just look at your head unit. 3. It's very customizable. Had to switch from Celsius to Fahrenheit. App locations. Weather. Etc. Overall I'm happy I did it, but I think I can see how some people may go for the Sony Headunit. IMO the Sony Headunit looks bad, but it's supposed to be flawless in terms of glitches and user friendliness.
@@thesilveremir Thanks for the insight! Been looking at purchasing this one. The big draw for me is stock/OEM look to it. For the phone battery I have a wireless charger in my center consol, but I'll still setup a wired option just in case.
This is a great video, I used it to help understand what plugs and wires go where and what they are for, much appreciated. Great job, cheers!
Thanks for the video. I loved your dog.
I've watched a ton of these new head unit videos for the 4Runner, but no one has covered if these will work if you have the Sirius XM radio option.
Through the app.
Does the unit come with a can bus and do it need it for the install?
All my radios come work canbuses . Pre programmed
3 weeks in, how are you liking this head unit?
