Baye Highway (the highway from Badong New County in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area to Yesanguan Highway in Badong Economic Development Zone) starts eight kilometers from the county seat and passes through Maluchi, Fengchuiya, Chadianzi, Liansanpo, Tongmuyuan, Longjiawan, Baiguoping, Daochangling, Dianziping, Liangxiping and other places end at the Yesanguan Interchange exit of the Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway. They are fast lanes connecting the Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway, the Yangtze River Waterway and the Yiwan Railway. . The estimated total investment of the project is 1.177 billion yuan. The design standard is a two-way two-lane secondary highway with a speed of 40 kilometers per hour and a road bed width of 8.5 meters. The construction mileage is 69.811 kilometers. Among them, the newly built section (Liansanpo to Yesanguan Interchange) is 43.2 kilometers long, with 22 new bridges and 7 tunnels designed. The length of bridges and tunnels accounts for 28.1% of the total mileage of the route. It is the highest-grade rural highway in the province, and it is a single unit. It is a secondary highway with the highest investment subsidy standards, the largest investment amount, and the most bridges and tunnels.

You are misleading audience, this is not highway according to China's standards, it's just ordinary roads in the countryside. A highway must have at least 3 lanes(one emergency lane) for each direction, and must have stopover stations for rest, gas refuel, toilet, and dinning section.

Yes, it was a stunning drive. Quite beautiful. That said, are you guys effing nuts? The way these people drive is insane! Road signs, what little there are of them, seem to be merely suggestions. Cars passing cars with clearly hazardous reckless abandon ignoring any sense of safety or common sense. Cars pulling out right in front of oncoming traffic, failing to signal, failing to yield, hell, failing to stop altogether. Then there's the roads themselves: no shoulders, no banking in the curves, no traffic signals, barely any signage of any kind; drainage death ditches with no curbs, etc., etc. If I ever, for some bizarre reason find myself in China, there is no way I will ever risk driving a car there. Planes, trains or walking, that's it. I will never risk my life out on Chinese highways.
