- This week, we’re bringing you the sixth video from a series that we call Home Coffee Brewing with April.
We believe that innovation in coffee brewing starts at home, and that some of the most special and meaningful interactions with coffee can take place within your own kitchen.
As we are travelling frequently travelling visiting our international partners, we decided to introduce this format as a way to interact with you on a different level whilst maintaining the frequency of our videos.
We’re still on our travels, this time around meeting with Yuuuuuai in Bangkok to brew some Ethiopian coffee together using our April Plastic Brewer and paper filters.

I love this series. It's a delight to wake up and watch one of these videos while I prepare coffee for the morning.
I love how she treats the brewing itself as an aesthetic experience
Absolutely, and it's interesting to experience how well it can taste. Sometimes keeping it simple is the best approach. As long as the basic ingredients (beans, water and ratio) is done right.
Notice she has a lot of Japanese things, cups, pouring kettle... Love the vibes approach to brewing.
Thanks Yuuuuuai for letting us peek in!
For sure, lot os Japanese influence which translate to the way she brews. Have you tried much Japanese coffee shops?
Really loving this series!
Great series and for sure eye opening. It is a pleasure to be able to learn from you guys.
We are glad you enjoy it. Any recommendations on where to go next?
One of my favorites so far ! If you ever find yourself in the US and still doing this series, we’d love to have you in New York city. Regardless , really enjoying these and stoked for the next one.
Thank you for watching. Sure thing, New York will happen next year. What is that make this episode one of your favorites?
This is very interesting... I was under the impression that after grinding you have about 20 mins before the coffee looses taste, but Patrick says they prefer grinding the day before...
Yes, we pre-grind all the coffee for brewing in our stores as well. It increases consistency and taste quality. Especially on a lighter roasted coffee as it allows the last of the Co2 to be released. Would you be interested in trying it?
@@coffeewithapril definitely, I'll try 😊
@@coffeewithaprildo you recommend resting the beans for around two-three weeks when pre grinding? Or should it be fresher for this method? Also, really cool video and concept!
@@FruitlessRoaster We would recommend first resting and pre-grinding after that. Have you tried that before?
@@coffeewithapril No not really. I’ve tried doing it with coffee that was too fresh, with mixed results. Someone just gave me a free bag of Kenya today though so I’ll try it out! Haha
Great video.
Thank you for watching. What's your favourite part of the video?
@@coffeewithapril The interaction between yourself and the home baristas is really cool to see. I also like seeing people's brew bar setup. Keep up the good work.
Yuuuuuai, bringing the good vibes. Patrick, I’m enjoying your interactions - after watching, I look forward to my next pour over even more. Thanks!
Next time let's go to Phuket Thailand. We're waiting for you
We hope we get to visit there one day. Are you coming to Bangkok for the April Brewers Cup in December?
so do you sell your water, i would be very currious to try it from ryesgade
Thank you for watching. If you bring a bottle we are happy to share some with you. What are you currently using at home?
@coffeewithapril7021 waterwise I'm a total beginner, my building runs on bwt and I filter it with a britta maxim+
I'm pretty satisfied with my brews but feel like I should give my april subscription coffee as much love as possible.
And I pretty much uptimiced everything else within my budget so I feel like water would be next. 😊
where can we buy her pottery, can you link it in the description please 🪬🧡
Thank you for watching, we will see what we can do to make that happen. If nothing else you can find her on Instagram at @yuuuuuai and ask her directly. Was that helpful?
