I did the same Mont Gele couloir last March (2022); trickier entrance with not as much snow, but still really fun. And your guide took me ski touring out to Rosablanche for a great day-long adventure.
Awesome video. Stairway to Heaven looks remarkable, how long was the bootpack? The rather steep bowl reminds me of the entrance to Vallon de la Sache in Tignes. Guide keeps traversing further out, just curious, why not go down the middle ? Guess, the exit is further to the left? Mont Gele traverse hairy !!! And the ‘center’ couloir is very steep! Great snow indeed ! Mont Fort couloir - same as the dude ‘ski & travel’s ‘ route in other video , it didn’t seem that steep in his clip , could just be camera angles? Even steeper ?!!! Snow seems light, dry Utah powder, not heavy at all ! Awesome skiing, formidable terrain, One unnerving thing is when in a group, the person above has to make sure they don’t run into the person below!😮! What was about “taking some woman down this….transciever…” ?
STairway was great, not a terrible hike, maybe 10 minutes. We could have gone down the couloir at the top of it, but Neil was looking for the best snow for us, so that's why we were traversing from what I recall. I think there was a skiable line down either way.
This was 5 days before we arrived in the 4 Valleés this year. The resort closed the day we arrived! 👎🏻 Nicely done bro, the last time I tackled Mont Gele it was really deep powder, I 💩 my pants!
I would have loved some powder on Mt Gele! We still got lucky finding some below the couloirs on Mont Fort. Fingers crossed we will be able to have a better season this coming year!

Stopping so much... looks good but definitely more fun to keep a good pace, faster flowing. And find some airs in the mix too!
