the GL is a great SUV but.....yup, suspension is a downfall. I have an ML that had the air suspension, AirLift reached out and offered some parts, Eibach and Bilstein had some reasonable replacement options for swap. They both offer sensors to prevent the codes from what I know. Hope your week is panning out well buddy!
(airlift is basically a Jetta wagon full of hipsters yelling at you because you bought a package of water, we don't know them, we know bilstein and eibach lolol) shhhhhhh :)
My condenser makes a lot of noise, is it bad? Also, the right side of the Mercedes GL450 inflates less than the left side? Thoughts on what it might be?
hello sir! thanks for the videos, i have a question and i was hopping you can help. after changing the air suspension compressor the engine stalls after the compressor starts, any advice?
She’s a cutie! I’ve heard too many bad things about air bags. I went to buy a Grand Cherokee Trailhawk and the sales guy talked me out of it due to our miserably cold climate and the stiffness of the air bags in the cold so I bought a model without bags.
I was a Chrysler tech for 22 yrs and I agree. In very cold climate , the bags get stiff . The newer ones are better , but there are too many things that can go wrong . You had an honest sales guy there !!
Even if your dad is a mechanic, parts for European vehicles are painfully expensive. The thing I hate is the extra difficulty finding dealer repair service info.
I'm feeling like that with Mercedes. I'm about to make this same repair on the AMG model to this. Why did u have to change airbags that many times though?
Awwwww! That is the happiest I've ever seen you in any of your videos. You're a lucky guy!
I'm actually a pretty happy guy on the regular. I just don't project it well 🤷. But when my granddaughters are around , I turn to mush lol 😆

I have a 450 gl 2011. 160k miles. Rides great. Bought after mkt arnott pieces. Installed only 600. Worth every penny
Did u make a follow up video of the new airmatic struts/bags going in.
And did you replace the little plastic/soft levers for the ride height?
I did make a follow up of the replacement. I did not replace the levers
@@WrenchingWithKenny
You can get struts with springs. I've done them myself on mine. Well worth it.
had same issue on my GLS550 a $50 valve block solved it.
Those gl class are so beautiful and spacious

Sounds like the charging system isn't putting out what it needs to to sustain the draw from the compressor
My car has AS. After I jacked up the front to check the brakes, it clunks when driving. The AS works fine. Did I do something wrong? Thanks
I doubt you did anything wrong. But I'd definitely try to figure out what's making noise

I have one and will never own a Mercedes again. I've changed the compressor twice and each bag front and back 4 or 5 times.
I'm not a fan myself
