Pretty sure they dogged on Packard one time they installed one of there kits because it didn't go together or hold up well, so theres some bad blood there.
I can show you some pictures of broken packard billet diffs ran through 2 of those 3k diffs and 4 stock diffs before I just sold the thing because there wasn’t a diff that could handle the power of the packard big turbo package.

Thats a real shame but at least it shows that Doug's tuning on it is working. It made so much power the diff couldn't handle it. If there's one thing I've learned from watching Cleetus and them its that you know your tuning is spicy when the drivetrain can't keep up. Can't wait to see what it'll do once its capable of putting down all the power its making.
Doug should make a diff brace for it. Cutting a piece of steel plate to brace all the bolts in the areas its breaking and bracing them to the frame will help hold it all together under crazy loads like that. Drift cars have the same problem from clutch kicks and they make diff braces for them.
Once you get that beast under control it will be unstoppable if it can't handle it it needs to be upgraded it's sad to say but once it's there it's there you'll love it I love the content keep up the good work

The stuff is pricey but that's the price of speed. Good luck!

The YXZ is an awesome machine. Ours has 19,000 miles, boosted most of her life, and it's over 2,000 lbs. A machine for durability for sure. We have faith in you Doug! 👍🏽😜

Upgrade the rear diff components and everything else will still be right there ready to play!! There is always a positive aspect in every negative situation, it just needs to be looked for!!

I been playing that same game. Turbo yxz is really fun trying to tune 0 degrees on a frozen lake. Dyno doesn't work. Things happen so quickly. Make one area better now all else is off. Rinse & repeat.
Im actually very relieved that it was the diff and not the block and bottom end. I thought this was headed towards continuing to pull fuel out to get it to clean up, going too far and making a lean spot at higher psi and rpms, and having an even worse kind of tough break! Make sure that doesnt happen after u get your overnight diff from japan installed! Dont rush the tune boys. Do it right

This is coming fro a lot of street tuning LSx boosted vehicles: That breaking up under low boost is from under-timing the motor. You need to have full N/A WOT timing in that thing until you see about 2-3 psi, then roll it back.
from DUNE TUNE to DOOM TUNE. Tough Break, indeed. Looks like you need a "Stage Doug" hard parts driveline kit to build. Stay safe...and again...that really is a tough break, Doug. Hope it all comes back together and is better/stronger/faster.

The Packard unit is EXPENSIVE! But its rated to over 600whp, the DIY billet case is a lot more affordable. It's almost half of the cost of the complete unit. BTW I see they have made over 800 crank hp on these engines! That is insane! That means the rest of the drivetrain has been built to handle it. But you have to pay to play with high power toys. Which is an arm and a leg at this point.
Yxz is my favorite unit. That tripple just sings, especially with the sequential. Hope it gets back togeather soon!
