So basically... 3 prime lenses in one: 28mm 35mm 45mm. That's a pretty good value, especially if you're a video shooter who wants the added flexibility to do something like crash zooms!
Exactly! For video shooters it's a great lens, even if you're a portrait photographer wanting like you said 3 prime lenses with a fast aperture all in one!
I was just wondering if Sigma could do an 18-35 f1.8 equivalent lens for full frame and they delivered! I absolutely loved the documentary. I couldn't believe that it was shot on A7 4! Really nice colors and bokeh!
Fantastic job on that short doc. You say you're "just a portrait photographer," but you proved that you can make something really beautiful and compelling for businesses and brands with that work. In effect, you made a "moving portrait" of Rob and clearly showed his deep love and interest in what he does. BTW, I'm pretty new to your channel and I just wanted to add that I love that your Italian sometimes creeps in at the end of sentences ; )
This is a full frame zoom; they made the 18-35 f/1.8 a long time ago. Granted, it was a crop sensor lens, but isn't that a zoom? Funny thing about that (18-35) lens is I bought it to use for event photography with my crop sensor Nikon D500, but tried it on my full frame Z8 and don't have any trouble with lack of coverage. So now I am using it for video on the Z8 and get way more use out of it than before with just the D500. I'm sure this new full frame lens is a banger, but I feel fortunate that I won't really need it.
Interesting choice on filming the interview from the key light side instead of shadow side, kinda threw me off a bit lol, but good video and story telling 🙌🏻🙌🏻
@@frankfeng2701 I use canon so if they made it for EF or RF(fingers crossed), it actually would be a little bit better on the short end because canon APSC has a 1.6 times crop. And yes it has less reach but considering the fact that it is a full frame lens, it’s definitely worth the price.
Amazing video. I see that the haze kind of cleared up in the background, making the shots of the talking head look quite different. How would you control for this ? Any thoughts?
I don’t understand sweat and why this couldn’t be a 24-50? Don’t get me wrong it’s a beautiful lens I just wish it had that 24 and 50 focal length since they are so widely used across all genres of filmmaking.
Do you have any questions about the lens or about the video? Drop them below!
I was saving up for the SIgma 50mm 1.2, but now I'm considering if I should get this lens instead. I'm a hybrid shooter, which would you recommend?
I'm hoping to replace my sigma 40mm 1.4, is the pincushion noticeable at 40mm with corrections on?

Had the best time working on this!
It was so much fun especially playing around with the lighting and setting up the scenes! Excited to shoot more of these!
The doc was amazing !!!! 🔥
Appreciate your support homie! I definitely want to keep experimenting with these videos. Maybe ill film a short doc on you next time haha
This lens is bonkers 🤯
Right!!
$1350 for multiple primes is wild 😅 might sell my 35mm GM for this just for the versatility. I do love my 35 the most but this is killer
It's actually insane for the price... this is everything I've always wanted
Selling my 35mm for this too!
This lens looks insane! Loved the mini documentary too 🔥
It preformed really well and thank you brother! Appreciate the support
Wow amazing job with the short doc! I can see myself needing this lens!
Thank you for the support!
I still can’t believe they made an f/1.8 zoom 😱

Great content Stefano
I love my sigma 18-35 f1.8 for apsc! If I did upgrade to full frame, I’d love to get this lens to take over the niche that lens fills!
The 18-35mm is goated! Sigma just knew they had to make it for full frame!
@@StefanoLombardoYT But falling short on both wide and long end, while costing twice as much.

@@frankfeng2701 for apsc that 18mm is the equivalent of 28mm in FF
I don't know why, but my 18-35 f1.8 Art lens works on my Nikon Z8 with no vignetting.
As someone new to the sony system and only have the 20mm 1.8... This lens is perfect.
Your compositions are fire 🔥🔥🔥
Great work you doing amazing job you like always 😍🔥👏
Thanks ma!
That Rob guy is a stud.
He's pretty cool!
Your shots are 🔥🔥🔥 do you shoot in SLog3? Nice video man!

I gave you that 222 like!!
Awkward focal range and niche target audience.
