I like this walkthrough! It’s great to see what is possible.
I even think that the laptop compartment, in the open state, is TSA conform. So you actually don’t need to take out your laptop, just flap it open.
in theory, it works, but all of the agents just tell you to get out your laptop and let's see you waste your time arguing with them.
TSA will require you to take all electronics out that are bigger than a smartphone.
Is it possible to see what the Sage color looks like in London, England? Also does the Medium Cube fit in the top section of the everyday 30L backpack? Cheers.
Hi peak design. Am wondering if you intend to make a backpack similar to your travel bag but smaller in size? With the purpose of not for travel but more for everyday carry.
Will the rain fly still fit with a tripod at the side and the backpack expanded?

I have the sage tech pouch and I realize that there arent any holes for the anchors that the black tech pouch has. Even in the video the sage pouch doesnt have the holes, why not?

I need this to know, will it fit my Asus ROG GL502VT in the laptop compartment? Size is 15.4 x 10.5 x 0.9 inches thanks!
The maximum laptop size on the campaign is 16 x 11 x 1 inch, so you should be just fine.
How stain resistant do you think the new sage green will be?
I also want to know this.
In short, very stain resistant. The fabric is overcoated with 2 layers of polyurethane and impregnated with a water/chemical resistant compound. Most dirt and scuffs will wash off with warm water. In fact, the Sage color actually shows less dirt than the black. The heathered texture tends to hide dirt, whereas the flat black fabric tends to show it.
Thank you this is very helpful. Is there a way or location apart from San Francisco when I can go to at least see the sage green in person? if not would you guys be cool with me ordering two and returning the one that I dont like. Just for perspective i currently travel with a osprey fairpoint 40 and the dark greenish grey.

Actually, you can. Come to the Peak Design Flagship store in Hayes Valley...on most days we have a sage and black bag there for folks to check out! Look us up on Yelp!
So we have to buy Peak design strap to use as a daily bag. Is that correct?
We'd obviously recommend our straps, but if you wanted, you could use our Anchor Links with an old OEM Strap if you would prefer

We certainly intend to be shipping by January.
How do you bring the wash pouch for international travelling? Liquids won't be allowed in those pouches I'm pretty sure.
Rules vary by airport/country. In some places, it is required that liquids be placed in a clear bag, in which case you'll have to take your liquids out of wash pouch. What's nice about the pouch is that when you unzip it, it will stand upright and have visibility to everything in it, so it's easy to inspect if need be.
Just keep a small clear plastic ziplock bag in one of the many pockets within the wash pouch for those short parts of the trip where you deal with such regs, which is what I do with my current travel wash kit. Everything goes back into their proper places afterwards so they're ready to go when I actually need them.
how heavy is the bag when its pack out like this?
With the laptop, this pack-out was probably 10-15 lbs total. We didn't actually weigh it though. Bag weight (when empty) can be found in the Specs section of our Kickstarter page (link in description).
Weight varies depending on what you're carrying. It could be all clothes, all camera gear, a mix of both or cement blocks.

The video was so awkward it started to be funny, but not in a good way. If it was on purpose then that guy is a genius. I prefer the guy at the end to do the talking.
