I did too. Went out fishing north of the Narrows Bridge at Pt. Richmond. Raining, cold, wet. Mooched at 300 feet with a green Buzz Bomb. Pulled in a nice King, brought the Arima back to Gig Harbor, tied up and had a delicious Reuben sandwich at the Tides Tavern. All it takes is practice.
I know it well. My grandparents bought a newly built cinderblock two bedroom bungalow around 1958 - it 2nd closest lot to the beach there at 920 Second Avenue. It was THIS close to the beach. God I loved it. Visited them as often we we could until they both passed in 1986 when I was 20. So many memories sitting on that little screen porch in back, the outside shower, the HEAT (lord that heat), Grampa’s obsession with keeping the salt air from eating his ‘67 Chevelle alive. I miss them.
You do well on narration. Good smooth calm voice. So, being in electronic ware fare in the navy, you can rotate a radar with out radiating a radar. Not saying your boat with Garmin wasn’t radiating. That’s why when you go aloft in port, surrounding boats are required not to rotate or radiate. Cause you never know. With the new fixed radar SPY, you sure don’t know. A powerful jamming radar like an/slq-32 v3 could cook you with 1 million watts. From a good distance. 8:13
I can't swim proper with a flotation device on. I'll float on it to catch my breath, but I swim mostly submerged. It takes so much more effort to swim with a vest on. I just LOVE the loud & panicked shouting of directives while mooring. I used to instruct the crew NOT TO RAISE VOICE whatever happens... and to watch and listen to the person responsible i.e. "the captain". Of course mooring must be carefully planned in advance and the crew must know what to do....or not do. Other places of confusion are : Locks to overcome a different water level. Shouting echos nicely within the concrete walls too. The water swirls around there...
My Momma and Pop live just up from this boat ramp and it always a crap shoot. For the life of me I don't understand why people go out on boats and have no clue how to operate them. Its astounding to me.
We all have to learn some time, even though you practice in a parking lot or whatever, you still have to take into consideration, wind direction & current strength, a little consideration, understanding, patience advice would help, if asked, needed, offered, I know I was once there myself, boating 40+ years ago & still learning but now more so on how to deal w/people, which way much harder !
Just because you, as a good samaritan are bringing a disabled boat in, DOES NOT give you any authority to order people around. Wait your turn at the ramp!
They only time you should have priority is if the boat your towing is taking on water slightly faster than they can get rid of it and there is a chance to get it on the trailer before it sinks.
@@karlstreed3698 actually a boat towing another boat is considered a vessel restricted in ability to maneuver and always has right of way. Everyone waits their turn doesn’t count in this situation as tow vessels have priority.

When the tourists come up it's like a three-ring circus at the boat ramps which we have finally got pretty much under control, because in this small town, we don't go for that mess. Some people just don't need to own boats. They act like the water is going somewhere. Everyone wants to put their boats in at the same damn time. They need to chill out, the lakes is not going anywhere lol
The laws differ from state to state. I know in this state, you are required to have a boater's license, similar to a driver's license if you're born after 1989 (I believe). But even then, I know plenty of people with drivers licenses and boaters licenses that still don't have competence.
Required to have drivers licenses in the states but that doesn’t mean people can drive worth a crap. A piece of paper is worthless if they just hand it out

Well that I'd let em sort their own cleats to raft to. In the mean time I'd swapped my nice clean fenders to the rough oil/tar covered winter ones for their nice yachts to rub on.
Most of the time i launch by myself, your videos make me feel like an expert
Nice assist bringing the broke down boat to dock.
Always enjoy your vids CCC.
Thanks I’ve gotta get working. Been working on the store site
This channel is pure comedy. All the ladies barking orders, bound to get their husbands in a fist fight with a drunk American skipper 🤣
That lady said she “needs a Valium to deal with this place.”
It's definitely a tense atmosphere.
Glad I'm not the only one that picked up on that 🤣🤣
I can't swim proper with a flotation device on. I'll float on it to catch my breath, but I swim mostly submerged. It takes so much more effort to swim with a vest on. Water skiing, wake boarding, driving a watercraft, yes, wear it in case you fall. But, for free swimming I remove it, personally. Don't take my advice though, I'm odd.
Jeez count how many times that Yenta says DONT BLOCK THE RAMP
I liked the Black Bird in the end. He was just listening to all the JABBER!
Oh I forgot... the broken down boat probably didn't have an anchor!!!
Love your videos bro. Your Style voice overs inspired me on how im doing mine. Thank you CC
Had a dock guy tell me “ you can fly an airplane but can’t dock a boat for shit”. Unfortunately he is correct.,
That's a crazy ramp.
Just having my bagel and coffee watching boats come and go. Don't block the ramp!! Ok time to work now I'll be back
Watching these videos makes me like our lil port so much better. Every once in a great while do you get some creditcard captian
I learn so much with these videos,. Miami boat raps are pros. I do like yours as well since you keep it professional and concise. Keep up the god work, I have subscribed already. I do go often to New Smyrna with my boat so... might see ya.
That’d be awesome. New vid out
That woman worried about them blocking the ramp would have a coronary at the ramp in grant florida, south brevard county. That's one of the most ignorant ramps I've been to. From staging on the ramp fo 30 minutes ro fist fights its a nightmare sometimes
Other places of confusion are :
Locks to overcome a different water level. Shouting echos nicely within the concrete walls too. The water swirls around there...
No consideration at the ramp. 😂so true
BRUH YOU GOTTA POST MORE VIDEOS!!!! LOVE YOURE COMENTARY
3:18 grandma gets the best narration cameo. lol
Absolutely love your channel
I’ve driven a jet boat and they don’t steer unless you have the power on. As soon as you take it off, it’s going straight 😂
this is why we have our own boat ramp and lift..amazing
That's why I never go out on the weekends
Just think Two boats with 400 Hp and not one of them on the boat has the sense of one horse! 🤣🛫
Watching Alfred's channel with that big Croc cruzin around and these people are all in the water...
lol, that place is a cluster. Thank You for the casual narrating, theirs this other guy making videos, you've gotta mute the entire videos
Dude, i love your commentary! Lmfao!!
I appreciate it. I’ll keep it up!
Jet boats are very easy to operate BUT SUPER TRICKY 😂😂
Weekend at the Ramps ! ! ! LMMFAO 😂😂😂
Forever content at the docks...enjoyed your narration
Ain't no way there is a guy in 4ft of water on the verge of drowning🤣🤣. Dude stood right up like it was nothing
There’s no crocs or gators at this launch ? Asking for a friend, lol !
Nopeeee
Just because you, as a good samaritan are bringing a disabled boat in, DOES NOT give you any authority to order people around.
Wait your turn at the ramp!
They only time you should have priority is if the boat your towing is taking on water slightly faster than they can get rid of it and there is a chance to get it on the trailer before it sinks.
@@karlstreed3698 Exactly!
@@karlstreed3698 actually a boat towing another boat is considered a vessel restricted in ability to maneuver and always has right of way. Everyone waits their turn doesn’t count in this situation as tow vessels have priority.
@@larrygolden167 lol, your last name is the same as mine..lol
@@larrygolden167 exactly but Floridians don't care they care about them self's that is it. I would have had that trailer in water dead center blocking the center ramp to get my disabled boat out of water so it doesn't cause damage to the boat hip towing it for me
I'm going to a Boat Ramp now this is so Funny to see 😂😂😂
Poor Ol' Florida that once was a great place has turned into shit at just about all main ramps..All of the transplants have moved here In last 20years and a bought a boat and most don't a clue.. It's done got to point were it sucks anymore
I'm not a boater but don't boats have a steering wheel and means of propelling it forwards/backwards? Haha
Sure but you also have to know how that works, that's mean its not a car. Boats steer from the transom.
The bigger ones have hydraulic steering ,some don’t and those are tougher to steer.
Always a chit show at this boat ramp!
It's been a long time since I have been to new Samara. I worked in venicia falls in 2008 and we stayed in that little old motel at the end of the strip. I wonder if that barbecue place is still there that fire would never go out.😂 But Flagler drive used to be one of my favorite places to hang out.
This is why I will never go to another Florida boat ramp. I was at this ramp a few days after racing at new Smyrna speedway and the ppl here are the rudest I have ever seen. I live on the gulf coast and nobody gave anyone any room or courtesy like we do here. If this was happening at any boat ramp being towed in by hand to boat ramp they would have had a boat with power helping in seconds
Guy with life preserver. Never mind the life vest but save my hat.
I love watching people leave the hatch shut when starting up an inboard engine.
Just a role of the dice.
They probably have the blower turned on, no need to open the hatch.
You can always be entertained at the boat ramp!
Love the channel good stuff
Looks like the water's really calm. It's really horrible when it gets shoppy. And there is a drift like the tide Going Out or in. It can be quite a sport depending on the weather and of course, the people.😂🎉
Was that a “Willow” reference at the end with the crow?
I live on the largest natural lake in California and we have a love-hate relationship with summer.
I have to ask in America is there any type of competency card you must have to operate a boat
A piece of paper is worthless if they just hand it out
Great channel. Just subscribed and hit the bell. Your voice is very relaxing.
Thank you so much!
Just found the channel and subscribed. @Alfred Montaner would be proud! Carry on! MM
Thank you love your vids too.
saw you on alfred's channel, your stuff is awesome
Just found it too. Instant subscribe when he called out Mr. Radar captain at the beginning. Lol just dose everyone with some radiation. Lol
I can't listen to Alfred. Bro bro bro.
@@signoresantinoburnett1169 agree, I can’t stand listening to him.
my twin engine speedster has good slow speed maners, you just have to remember they are different than prop drives, once you learn how they move and react they are way better than 1800s prop boats
I’ve never operated one, only a jet ski. Kinda different but same?
@@CreditCardCaptain jet skis are rapidly becoming a thing of the past. Nowadays you mostly see PWCs and not the ski types. Ski as in standup operation.
First time here, where is this located? You’re hilarious 😂
New Smyrna beach
Need more dock chaos! :D
Is this at haulover inlet?
New Smyrna
Where in NSB is this? I want to come watch with a cold one! Subscribed today! Thanks
