Wow, two stories involving putting something in a girl's drink. Did OP in the first one ever find out what Beatrice put in that water?

Women are known for poisonings others when wanna harm another person. So I'm not really surprised? The research talked about how murder victims get usually killed based on gender of the murderer, but still.

Sue the mother in law, putting shit in people's drink is assault!!!

1st story: I was totally on board with op until the end when she casually mentions this being the first secret she is going to keep from her husband. That is not a healthy way to enter a marriage. They have been married less than a day and she is already keeping secrets from him and planning on doing so in the future.

I was so blessed to have a gracious, loving mother-in-law. I still miss Grace Hohlmayer!

The cheerleaders at my high school swear someone maliciously spiked their Gatorade. They didn't have a party and drive drunk knowingly! (Cough BS cough)

1- teachers dont make the new student introduce themself at the front of the classroom
2- people have crushes on teachers. The info wouldnt just spread like wildfire

Astronomical cap on that wedding story. Calling the cops to investigate the poisoning? The bride let her friend go to the hospital and didnt tell the hospital staff that she suspected it may be something that a third party put in it? The bride instead decided to cause someone to have a massive allergic reaction which could be deadly?

Because that would make things worse for OP. Here’s why:
I want you to think of how that situation would go, calling the MIL for poisoning, with no proof to show anyone but a hunch, in front of both sides of the family. Realistically it would not end well for OP, not to mention that her Hubby could get pissed at her and leave, considering he was comfortable letting her go on a trip alone, shows that MIL has been just a trash talking bitch, and not in anyway life threatening. OP had no proof MIL spiked her drink. Only that she offered water that someone else drank. So they can’t test the remaining. MAYBE there were cameras but someone like MIL probably would’ve thought that one through.
In the end, there would’ve been no proof for the police, hospital staff, or the family, that could prove MIL maliciously spiked her drink. And that would’ve all just blown up in OPs face as only she knew MIL did it

Nut allergy story, bad move on OP's part. Could've been in prison for murder instead of honeymooning. Ironically, our school had a student teacher that half the senior girls had a crush on, including me.

Is it just me that hates the "let me give you the entire climax of the story BUT FIRST HERE'S THE REST OF IT" form of storytelling? I straight up won't listen to those stories, this isn't the 80's, stop with the "yep, this is my life, here's how it got here" intro

I don't want to be some type of pearl clutcher or whatever this is, but I felt a pang of irritation when at the end Steven said at the end how he has a new paranoia about leaving his drink/bottle unattended. I can't say how old he is but it's some kind of frustrating that the cic Male population isn't aware that there is a risk of someone tampering with your drink when you're not looking. As a conventionally attractive female, my mother repeatedly warned me about never letting my drink leave my sight when going to social events/school dances starting in middle school (age 13). Am I the only one to feel that when he said that?

My brother was cresting 6' tall at 14, and my parents still warned him against people putting stuff in his drinks the same way they told me. I don't know where you're getting this idea against "cis males" in general, but I would just consider him lucky to not have had to worry about that before

@@shadowfox933 I guess from my experience it seems that guys don't deal with this type of stuff but thinking about again they can be victims too. But I still believe that women are more often targeted.
