  • In this short little video I'm reviewing the recently corrected firmware for the Microchip PIC12F629 chips used as PS/2 keyboard sub-processors on the NUCplus4 platform. Specifically I'm seeing if the Disk Drive Rotate Command (F10) is working correctly and repeatable in operation. For feedback I've got a USB cable connected to the FujiNet Module so that I can use the FujiNet's Serial Debug facility to view key-presses associated with that module. I've also pre-loaded a Demo 2-disk set to also listen for the built-in S.A.M. disk rotate acknowledgement.
I flashed these PIC chips using the JOY2PIC programmer and an updated (1/12/2025) flashing file (JOY2PIC-NUCplus4.atr) that has currently only been distributed to one of the BETA testers.
When this is considered solid, the firmware files on my website (AtariBits.com) will get updated.
