Y'all always ignore how much each person played in college. Jordan Love played quite a bit in college. Aaron when he sat behind Favre played quite a bit in college. Mahomes who sat behind Alex Smith for a year played quite a bit in college they had a bunch of experience playing before sitting. Look at Trey Lance he has sat for a long time now and just threw 5 picks in the preseason he's the only other prospect aside from Richardson who barely played in college. Lance obviously needs to play to grow same thing with Richardson

Tim Couch wasn't playing well at all, and I had this young qb that was fairly highly rated (76 ovr)...so I decided in the middle of a lost season to start the young man. That season we had a .500 record and missed the playoffs, but won several in a row to end the year. The next year, I name the young guy the starter, get some pieces to put around him (99 ovr Bubba Franks at TE and an improved offensive line) and now we're in the Super Bowl. Moral of the story: I'm a f***ing nerd, but you gotta play your young guys to let them develop.

@gerardangelo7975 I am not bashing mobile qbs. The league is so fixated on mobile qbs they have almost completely disregarded cultivating pocket passers. I can't think of any young pocket qbs except burrow. When old traditional pocket passers from the 2010s get some run (like flacco) they eat the modern defenses up. Just saying its easier to shut down those mobile qb guys in the passing game. which makes the overall game less enjoyable

    • @michaelwaninger3155

No it has a woke problem. A racebaiting problem. A dei problem. And an idiot problem. Pocket passers are underdeveloped because there is so much money in college ball the coaches are simplifying offenses so the don't have to develop the qb . Problem is in college your opponent has maybe one nfl caliber player so when they get to the nfl those offenses don't work. So the qb has to be developed for years and then you don't know if he will be able to make the adjustment.

This team isn't going far in the playoffs with Flacco and he just lost to the 0-4 Jags (Played well, we still lost though). Obviously…if they want to win. But what’s best for AR? Or is AR not what they thought he was? That’s the highest probability by far if you look at history. Chances are AR ain’t the guy, and a lot of young QBs that are starting or we’re starting aren’t among the top 50 QBs in the league. Nobody wants to pay the older guys like Flacco long term, and they’re all treating the draft, when it comes to QB, like a crapshoot, which it arguably is if you’re trying to find a guy who can be the man now and win right away, on his rookie contract. We used to let guys sit and take time to learn the hardest position in all of sports. We used to be afraid we’d ruin a young QBs career…..like what it looks like the panthers have done to Bryce Young.
