@@BandicootPWR Yeah I could tell it was pretty early stages, one step at a time though. Interesting to hear that it's easier to edit a boss than the player character, why is that?
@@jamesstent The number of animations is super low compared to Wolf's, from what I understand the bosses just run through scripts to direct what animations play under what circumstances. I have less creative control for diversity of the animations (sounds bad, but not always), and I only have to worry about the abilities affecting the player properly, not other NPCs. Little things like that I guess, the majority of the time will be taken up making sure it feels fun to play against and doesn't get stuck in an animation loop (has happened already lol).

I like that you keep the aggression and intensity close to the vanilla 👌 keep it that way, since there are already many mods for super aggressive/high intensity fights
And just as I was about to suggest making boss mods lmao. Here's a few suggestions. Try also borrowing some moves from other modified genichiro mods such as resurrection or for the sake of ashina to create a faster yet more cohesive rhythm of swordplay. Also that lightning thrust attack, im just gonna assume it gives you the shock status if you get hit by it, but it would be really cool and more fast paced if it went something like this: If you successfully mikiri the lightning thrust, it would follow-up with a lightning explosion on the ground that you have to jump to avoid, or even better, you have to mist raven or sakura dance to counter it back. Other than that tho this looks really sick and im looking forward to making my own video with this 👍.
Cheers dude, I'm against taking other people's work for my own obviously so I would only use it as a learning opportunity, seeing what was changed to achieve their results but I think we are touching on the same end goal :). Yeah I thought about changing the mikiri interaction in some way, your idea sounds epic though.
Imo, there shouldn't be a move where you have to have a certain prosthetic or move to be able to counter it. Mist raven/sakura dance should be the easy way out, but there should be a way out without you needing to have something, like thrust with parrying and Sweep with just jumping.

Could do yeah, the only thing I'm not sure about is the fact that he closes the gap pretty quickly so the extended range of the move may not have much effect, but who knows, maybe something to test.

Looks awsome, but seems to me only problem is unblockable attack marker. You expect trust attack, lightning, or smth , but next combo is just parryable, its kinda confusing
@@BandicootPWR how about you take a look at the resurrection mod? The mod creator did an amazing work at making the boss harder and fair unlike the lmtsr mod, maybe you can learn a few things that will help you

Waterfowl dance is already a dollarstore version of Spiral Cloud passage.

I don't think it's currently possible, you could create a skin for Malenia, but it would still use all of the vanilla game's animations.

It's not good to load up with attacks that are intuitively difficult to deal with.
