Do you absolutely have to re weld the bumper bar? Or can some bolts do? I was in a front end accident and need some tips. Planning on fixing my Chevy Cruze
How did you remove the bumper brace? Is there anything more holding it in place beyond the bolts on each side if it? Trying to remove mine but it seems to be held by something more I can’t find any help on tips to remove this brace would be much appreciated. Thank you
How do I replace the bumper brace myself? Previous cars just have 6-8 bolts and don’t have to be welded. Just slide in and out after. Does the Cruze need to be welded to remove/replace?
To remove you have to cut the welds. If its your car you will be fine just rebolting in. If its a customer car I am sure those 6 or so welds will determine how the car absorbs energy on a good impact.
Thanks for the video.Does welding damage the other parts like engine ,hoses ,etc ?

Did you happen to measure the length from firewall to radiator support so it all lands correctly
I did, but I don't recall that measurement anymore. Sorry
You may want to invest in a couple welding blankets. I know, you never had a problem...until you do and that fire gets out of control quick like.
Thanks, I appreciate it, I do have some.
Curious as well our bumper bar reinforcement got bent up and we are replacing
Yeah I thought it was a good idea to replace it hopefully this video helped you out
