a really excellent MOC - impressive how much detail you put into the inside of the base and the technique with the disappearing gate is very cool 👍🏼

I can't afford lots of lego to make building etc but i use card to build all sorts and add lego peices to create the details, it works and the lego people seem happy enough. I built them a landscape with a underground base and a hanger for thier ships. Im working on an imperial base at the moment other wise the imperial troops will attack the underground rebel base and start a war in my attic which will annoy my wife.

A great substitute only the imagination should be your limitation. Hillarious comments about your figures backstory, Pixar will make another toystory out of it.

@@Nimbuzbricks thank you, I use mounting board, it's relatively cheap and is about the thickness of a 1 stud lego brick so works rather well. I then can glue small lego structures onto it or other details, I can make some very large buildings fairly easily. I admire your ship designs and am working on a large ship using mounting board, I have managed to light up my creations with white Christmas tree lights. I love all the details. However my mini figures have been banished to the attic as my wife was fed up with them getting stuck in the vacuum cleaner and they became unruly when she broke some of thier spaceships. The last straw was when she stood on a lego horse and hurt her foot, the horse was very distressed and is under the care of the mandilorian and C3PO . I'd better get back to it as Darth Vader and Kylo Ren are massing troops behind the water tank !
